Sadly, it is drawing to a close. :( But what I want to know is who has ever even heard of it, and who actually watched it. :D As you may know from eruheran I lived a loooong time in Brazil, and thus have become a huge soccer fan.

I'd also like to know who enjoys playing soccer? I don't have many friends who do. :( I've gotten very, very curious, and Falcon Lord, you especially strike me as the kind of guy who would like soccer. ;) (correct me if I'm wrong)

P.S. How do you make a poll? I'll post this in Q+A, so don't tell me here. :)

I love the World Cup! Most Americans just don't appreciate soccer *sigh* Oh well. My family did grow up in South America though, so that kind of explains my interest.

I just finished watching Spain win. Yay! This year's been a pretty low scoring Cup. Most of the games have been defensive standoffs (with a few notable exception.) Still, it's been fun to watch.

WOW! Where did you live in South America? Spain definitely deserved to win, they played better.

I actually didn't spend a great deal of time in South America but my dad and mom did. Both grew up in missionary families. My dad was in Peru and my mom lived in several Central American countries.

Yeah, Spain was definitely a good team this year.

Over here in South Africa everyone is really sad the WC is over - though the flags are still flying, there's still a tourist or two in the shops and most people are still in high spirits (and will be even more if the Bokke wins the tri-nations...).

It feels really strange for all the hype and everything to be over, but at least it's quieter now! ;)

Also found out that my sister, brother in-law and I apparently look more like tourists than South Africans. Given, I was less tanned that most tourists I saw! :D

Well, back to the normal life...

You live in South Africa? Cool! Do you speak Afrikaans? (Sorry, I know you must get tired of questions...I do when people ask me where I live, etc. :D)
