First off, I wish I were saying "I'm back!", but alas, not yet. Instead, I'm here because Lycanis sent me a pm prompting me to come check his post in a thread (apparently I get email notifications of any pm sent here
). Thank you RunningWolf (and Suiauthon) for your sentiments! I likewise miss you--and all my HW friends.But I thought I'd also take this opportunity to give you guys a brief update on where I'm at.
I've finished school and am now working as a software developer. As an additional, part time job, a friend and I are co-leading our church's youth group. This is a big challenge for me. I've been involved in youth leadership for a long time, but to be honest, I've always been more on the taking end than the giving end. Meaning, youth groups have been my primary community ever since high school, and I've always felt at home in them--and I've always invested myself in it to some degree.
But, as I'm sure you're all quite aware, Jesus doesn't ask us to give what's convenient.
So now, I'm trying to figure out all the ways I need to die to myself in order to be effective in this ministry. I haven't figured them all out, but I'm pretty sure one of them is the amount of time I spend online. xDSo...miss you lots, love you lots, and may God bless you all in your creative endeavours.
He's certainly made a wonderful and welcoming community out of you all.
