| Hi, everybody! I just stumbled across Holy Worlds yesterday, via Google. (At the time, I was searching for ideas on how to design a centaur species.) I’ve never come across a website specifically for Christian fantasy writers before, so I was pretty excited to find this place. I like to read fantasy, sci-fi, fairy tales, and novel-length retellings of fairy tales. My favorite books include the Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables, the Screwtape Letters, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Neverending Story . . . okay, the entire list would probably fill a book itself, but I have a soft spot for children’s and YA fantasy, and will read whatever I can get my hands on. Comic books are good, too. I like to write fantasy, and am currently trying to edit my NaNoWriMo novel, but I keep getting tackled by worldbuilding ideas. What I’d like more than anything is to lead people to Christ by writing. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to getting to know everybody here! | |

| Hello Aletheia! (That is a lovely name.... ) I'm glad you joined. The bane of book lovers is trying to write lists of all the books they love. I like a lot of your favorites! I've never read a couple of 'em though... They look interesting. What are your favorite areas of worldbuilding? A wrimoer! I did it this year, and so did quite a few of us. God speed on the editing. I haven't even started with mine... * wry * | |

| Welcome Aletheia!! I love your name. *hands you leftover Christmas cookies* Congratulations on doing NaNoWriMo!! I've never been bold enough to try it. I like worldbuilding, too, but it develops very slowly for me. *seconds the question about your favorite area of worldbuilding* | |

| Hi there! You can make up whatever nickname you'd like for me. I have so many, I can't even remember them all. My real name is Elizabeth; if you want, you can use that. How are you finding Holy Worlds? | |

| Glitter and rainbow bunnies and leftover Christmas cookies - I'm going to need a box. Uh, my favorite parts of worldbuilding are probably creating myths and menus, and reinventing fantasy creatures. I've been sporadically exploring the forums. What does Mimetes mean, by the way? I keep seeing it in people's usernames. | |

| Welcome to HolyWorlds, Aletheia! I'm going to echo everyone else and say I love your username! Enjoy the forum! It's a daunting place when you first arrive, so feel free to ask any questions, we're happy to help! Also, on the sci-fi side, we are having a new year's steampunk party, and we'd love it if you would like to join. | |

| Aletheia wrote: What does Mimetes mean, by the way? I keep seeing it in people's usernames. Mimetes is Greek for an imitator or follower. Many of us have decided to have Mimetes in our name until our forum leader, Jay, is able to return to us. This thread explains more. ~ZA | |

| Greeting Aletheia! *Kneels with blade in hand* I am new to the realm myself, but I assure you that every soul that I've encountered here thus far embodies what it means to welcome those who have come to this creative haven. I too am in the process of world building, so I journey with you. Again, greetings! | |

| Welcome to Holy Worlds, Aletheia. What a beautiful name! Is there a story behind it? I love Anne of Green Gables, although I must confess I preferred the movies to the books. Lovely to have you join us here! | |
