Hello everyone! My name is Sarah. I am a sophomore in college, and will have my A.A degree in Creative Writing very soon. I have been writing fantasy for about eight years, ever since I watched Lord of the Rings for the first time (lol, how many people has Tolkien inspired in this way?). I have not been published yet, but I am working on a story that I hope to publish when it is finished. Some of my favorite authors are (no surprise) J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle, Ted Dekker and Patricia McKillip. I also love science fiction, and am developing a story in that genre as well.

As for more particulars, I am so happy to have found a website for Christian fantasy writers! For a long time I did think that Christianity was incompatible with fantasy, but as I got to know God better, I realized that without Him nothing works, fantastical stories included. It's great to know that there are other people out there who think the same way. ;)

Well, I guess that's about all for now.

Wow, thanks so much everyone. Yes, I did notice all the smileys. ;) I like them too. :D

Taiven Knight, I love your signature quote. I always thought Samuel Johnson was a very interesting character, at least from what I learned of him. Have you turned over half a library yet? ;)

Welcome, welcome! I agree with the others that your writing skills would be a great addition to the forum! Especially for us who are still working through high school and trying to learn more about our complicated English language. ;)

Haha, yes I love that quote too :)

I often wonder if I have turned over half of my library, since I can never find any books I like that I haven't already read there! :)

Lady Terra- She's your twin in real life? That's cool. What's it like having a twin?

Hi Sarah, it's great to have you on Holy Worlds!

Sorry, I probably should've come to welcome you sooner, you've already been on for about a week, more or less. But anyway, glad you're here! :D

No problem, ;) It's great to be here. I'm still feeling my way around. Where would I put a summary of my story?

A summary of your story? I posted mine in the Story Development forum, since it seemed appropriate, but I think you could also post it in Tips, Helps, and Suggestions for Writing. But yeah, Story Development would be fine. :D

Another Sarah? Well, it is a popular name, I suppose. :) Tolkien's legacy was huge. Certainly, he and Lewis greatly shaped my early interest in fantasy. I can (and do) read their books time and again without getting tired of them. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you and others on the forums.
