Hello there everyone. My name is Jesse Weaver and I was invited to the site by Aubrey Hansen. I was actually a bit nervous about joining, afraid I wouldn't be able to post as often as I'd feel obligated to, but I was assured you were all nice people and I couldn't resist the chance to make new friends.

I've got all sorts of writing projects going on, but right now I'm focusing on my NaNoWriMo project: a suspense/horror story about a cursed mansion and a fallen angel gone mad.

I enjoy writing (surprise!), reading, cooking, archery, point-and-click computer games like Monkey Island, and My Little Pony. That's right; I'm a brony. That's really all I have to say right now, so I shall close with the song of my people... *derp*

Hello, Bard. (Would you rather go by Jesse?) It's great to have you. Don't worry about posting numbers. Just do it as time allows. :) And speaking of time allowing, one of the best places to meet people and make friends is the chat room. Awesome experience! :D

Good luck on your NaNo project. I hope you get it finished.

I like reading and archery as well. Who are your favorite authors? What's your favorite genre?

I confess that I don't know what a brony is. :P

It appears to be. Aubrey is apparently Holy Worlds' #1 recruiter. ;)

Hello, Jesse! Welcome to Holy Worlds!

Your story sounds intruiging. Is it coming along well?

I enjoy archery, but as I often tell people, I stopped and never took it up again after I nearly hit someone with an arrow. o.O

Do you prefer cooking desserts, or main meals? Personally I like baking the most.

Welcome, sir Penblade! I'm working on NaNo as well. Your NaNo concept sounds really intriguing. You should post an excerpt of it over in the Excerpts section of The Fireside. :D

What kind of books do you like to read? There's a whole section of the forum dedicated to books and movies called The Watchtower.

Oooh, archery. Awesome. I haven't actually tried it, but it looks like fun. :D

So many questions! You're an inquisitive lot, aren't you?

Let's see, I'm okay with being called either Jesse or Penblade. My favorite author is Brandon Sanderson and my favorite genre is high fantasy. I have been doing archery since I was twelve, but I haven't had much opportunity to practice these last few years since our local archery range closed down. My NaNo username is Penblade the Bard (It's pretty much the same all over the internet). My novel is coming along rather well, though it seems dry to me right now (too much blanant exposition), and I enjoy baking desserts. Yum :dieshappy:. And my favorite books would have to include the Mistborn series, Lord of the Rings, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Mist, Wheel of Time, and The Way of Kings.

As for my book, I'm planning on it revolving around the main character Picateous Winslow who has recently inherited the family mansion (and debt) after his uncle committed suicide for no apparent reason. I'm not very good at writing synopsizes. I'll try to get an excerpt up soon, once I write something worth sharing. :P

Indeed, HWers love asking questions. :D

Wow, that's really awesome that you've been doing archery since you were twelve! And that you bake. And that you like Lord of the Rings. ;)

Looking forward to getting to know you more! :)

That sounds like a cool book, Jesse. Synopses aren't my strength either. :P

LOTR fans abound here. ^_^ ^_^ I'd say it's a bit of a craze (well, more than a bit, actually ;) ).

I've heard of the Wheel of Time series but haven't read it. Is it good?

Thank you Idril and Calista. :)

Meh. The Wheel of Time certainly has a good premise and it's well written, but it's very slow and sexist against males. My dad says that it lightens up and gets much better in the last few books, but at around the middle of the series it just becomes filler. I lost interest in the series at book six, with still five to go before dad says it gets really good again.

Yay! *snatches some confetti from the party room and throws it everywhere* Pardon me if someone already did that, but I'm excited. :D This is my first in-person recruit, y'see! Yup, yup! I met Jesse at our local NaNoWriMo group meetings, and it did not take me long to determine that he belonged on Holy Worlds. Holy Worlds needs awesome people, and awesome people do well on Holy Worlds. It's good for their mental health. :dieshappy:

Ahem. I'm so glad you joined, Jesse. :D Which means you get one of these! *hands Jesse a cupcake* My specialty. (Hence the avatar. )

*drags Vilisse in here* Look! MLP fan! You two should trade fanart and YouTube links. ^_^

#1 recruiter? Seriously? I haven't done that much recently... Y'all must be slackin'! ;)

Welcome to HW! I'm not around here much (in the way of posting) as school is currently ruling my life, but feel free to PM me or hop on over to chat (I just might be hanging out in that).
