So I was wondering what the number of HWers would be for each method of schooling so I made a poll. :D Were you homeschooled all the way? Did you begin in a public or private school before being homeschooled? Were you in a Christian school the whole way, or are you now a homeschool grad at college? (I know a few of these. ;))

Also for those who might be homeschool grads, did you officially graduate, or did you just finish your schooling? *random question that may not apply in America but thought to ask the Australian question anyway*

Have at the poll! :D

Well, I was homeschooled (I looked it up and the semantics of the word do allow for ...how I was educated, I guess, but UNschooling would fit a little better probably), but I'm a bad example of a homeschooler. I think I've graduated, yet not really, nor will I ever by public standards probably.
What method of schooling did you do? :D

I homeschooled all the way, and I did not officially graduate. It looks like we're in the same boat, Wolf. I kinda, sorta, maybe, really didn't graduate, thus I'm always fumbling for an answer when people ask that question. :P

My goal is to start publishing my books so I can just say, "I'm an author," and skip over the rest. ;)

However, college isn't out of the question.

I'm in the same boat as you, Lord Tarin. :D I was homeschooled since dot with no preschool experience (Toy Box once a week doesn't count) and I didn't graduate. I did however do two certificates in business administration distance education from a government backed schooling program.

I'm a homeschool grad and a college grad, so no poll option for me I guess. ;)

I was homeschooled the entire way K-12 and fulfilled all requirements to officially graduate. Our program did have a graduation ceremony where we had gowns, diplomas and walked across a stage but I missed mine due to being at state competition for track. However, I did "officially graduate" as I had a family friend from the school board hand me my diploma for a little ceremony held at my graduation party.

I was homeschooled all the way (unless you count preschool through our church :P). I officially graduated and I have the diploma to prove it :D.

I was homeschooled up until my last two years of high school, at which point I entered a charter school and participated in their college experience program. I got college and high school credits for taking classes at our local community college. I officially graduated, even though I missed the ceremony, and I am now at a Christian college...and loving every second!

I went to public school, though with a bit of what I might now in retrospect call "homeschooling" on the side, then went to a Christian college, and now am "filling in the gaps" with courses at the local community college.

Public school: Off and on between 1st and 6th.
Homeschool/Unschool: All of the gaps between. I have been unschooling since the middle of 6th grade.
I am now what you would consider a 'Senior in highschool'; however, I don't gauge my proficiency in subjects by grade level because textbooks and curriculums can be all over the place. I plan on taking the GED soon.

I was public schooled until 3rd grade due to my dyslexia and the anxiety math was causing me physically. My brother (who is 15 months younger than me) was pulled from the public school system as well and we were home-schooled together until graduation.

During my sophomore year and my brother's freshman year we had an opportunity to take a class at the local high school; we both took woodshop together and my brother also took a small engine mechanics class. We both preferred being home-schooled, but if my brother didn't struggle in reading or writing he would thrive in the school system.

After graduating, I took a year off and am now attending part-time at the local community college while working 20 hours a week. My brother is working full time and taking his year off.

I was a troubled public school kid (troubled in the sense of issues with teachers, as opposed to drugs and bad circles). When I was 11 (5th grade) I was pulled out of the public school, and my family began to homeschool me. :)

I'm going to public school. I will still go to public school next year (unless there is a very drastic change in my life). Then I will graduate, put my pretty paper diploma in a drawer somewhere, and go to University. Hopefully.
I'm taking Social Studies 20-1 FI by correspondance, so I get to teach myself that in my spare time. But that's as close as I've ever been to homeschooled. It doesn't really count.
*looks at poll*
*feels unique*
Huh. I'm a loner. I did think there was more then one of us.

I've done schools in this order: Public, Homeschool, Public, Christian, Christian, Charter(Public). Unfortunately, there wasn't an option for all.. unfortunately. :)

Hmm, I voted on this, but I never commented it seems.

I was homeschooled until I was 16, then I took the GED and graduated. :)

I've been in the same school my whole life. It's a Christian private school, so I wasn't sure which option to choose... (I ended up just putting Christian school).
