| Apologies if this doesn't go here. Well, I have a book that I'm getting ready to try and publish. As in, send a query letter to a publishing house. But I need someone else to read over the novel for me, since I tend to be rather biased in my editing. Is anyone here able to do that? It's an action-adventure novel with fantasy elements to it (shapeshifters and phoenixes), so... yes. I'll give more details later. | |

| Folks might find it helpful to know the word count. Just a thought! | |

| Oh yeah. I knew I forgot something. Currently it's at about 90,000 words; 250 pages. | |

| That's a decent book length. | |

| I know. It's probably going to get a little longer too, if I can give myself a smack in the head and stop procrastinating. | |

| Ah, procrastination, the bane of every writer's life. That is a good length for a book, especially if you want to submit it to a publishing house. I've been corresponding with a professional writer and editor, and she said that typically a manuscript that's too long (over 120k words) won't be considered. The prime range is 80k - 100k. | |

| I have no idea if I'll be able to set apart all the time needed to read through it, but I've had experience suggesting revisions for some of my friend's novels, so I'm willing to give it a shot. How quickly do you want it back by? As long as you're good with sending it to me when I'm not sure if I'll be able to read through, let me know and I'll PM you my email address. | |

| Well, there isn't any set date, I'd just like someone else to read through it because I fail at editing my novels. XD I'll be sure to let you know; right now I have to go do schoolwork. | |

| Good, actually. Aratrea edited it for me and he did an amazing job. The only thing I'm having a problem with is actually finding the energy and the willpower to go back and make changes. XD | |
