Post subject:  Greetings, all!

Hi, everybody. I'm Renna the Gray; you can also call me Reed, if you'd like. Or just Renna. I'm not picky.

I'm a fifteen-year-old girl with Celtic blood in her. I love music, reading, writing, and friends. I can't live without my friends; and I mean that literally. They've saved my life. :)

Not much else to say about me. I've self-published one novel, I have a brother who's younger than me by one year, I love reading and writing fantasy, and I'm a little crazy at times. ^.^

I look forward to meeting you all!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm Jason Jackson on the NaNoWriMo YWP site, so you may know me from there. ^^

Jonathan Garner: My favorite authors at the moment are Brandon Mull, J.R.R. Tolkien, and James Dashner, but my 'favorite' authors tend to change quite rapidly. :)
And music is even more diverse. Celtic Thunder, Bryan Adams, Shinedown, Matthew West, Enya, Owl City, Relient K... :dieshappy:

Lady Elanor: Thanks! :)

Crushmaster: Thank you! :) I'm happy to be here; this place seems awesome so far!

Celtic things are AWESOME. :D

I do, I truly do. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. :) I agree; He does.

Okay: enough formalities now that I know who you are.

JJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dieshappy: *flytacklehugs* So good to see you here!!!! :dieshappy:

*high fives Varon and Tsuro for getting JJ over here* ;)

JJ is from YWP, we had a great time playing an Inkheart fangame we made up and disrupted the whole forum and got in trouble... Oops. But that's how we got to know each other. :D

You'll love April Fool's day, JJ. We're allowed and expected to do that kind of thing. ;)

Lycanis: Thank you! :)
My novel was a pirate one. It was the first full-length original story I had written; my first two were fanfictions. Basically, a mysterious monster was terrorizing the Caribbean, and it was up to a motley gang of pirates to defeat it. The overall plot idea was good, but the names were unoriginal: Jack, Will, Scott, James, Claude, John, and Charlotte. XP
It's called "Sangre: The Phantom's Lair" if by some far cry you'd like to look it up on Amazon.

BUSHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *flyingtacklehugback* I've missed you!

Haha, indeed. ^^ Me and Bush were the masterminds of the Great Dusteh Chase... which probably no one will know about. XD Oh well. :) That's how we met, indeed.

Oooooooohhhhhhhh boyyyyyyyy. April Fool's Day.

Cool!

I will look it up. ^_^ I likely won't buy it (for now anyway)...but that just groups it with all the bestsellers and other awesome books- the group of items I can't afford to buy. =P It sounds cool though! Pirates...I like them. 8)

'Jack' and 'Will', aye? :D Wonderful pirate names, I must say.

Welcome to the forums, Renna! You say you like James Dashner, I've read some of his 13th Reality and liked them, and I'm waiting to see Maze Runner.

I love Celtic things too, btw...how can a fantasy person NOT?

What about 'Reed the Gray'? I like the sound of that.... Though Renna is nice too -- where did you get it? It is very pretty.

I'm very glad you are here, Person of Lots of Names! * gives you a bouquet of flowers that are whatever color you want them to be *

What was the Great Dusteh chase? Capitals make me curious.... :D

Post subject:  Re: Greetings, all!

*chuckles* 'Dusteh' is short for 'Dustfinger', a character out of the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke. A couple of us on YWP NaNo were big fans of Dustfinger, and were discussing different things about him, when someone got the idea to "steal" Dustfinger himself from our discussion thread. :D So we played along as fangirls and began popping in and out of all the threads on NaNo to say where Dustfinger had been taken, and had to try and track him down.

Of course, we didn't realize at the time we were spamming, so we all got a sound thwack on the wrist and told to behave. But it was fun while it lasted! :D

Post subject:  Re: Greetings, all!

@Busheh: You did indeed make me a book cover for "Sangre: The Phantom's Lair"! I wanted to use it, but something came up and I didn't get the chance.

@Idril: Thank you!

@Jonathan Garner: Awesome. :) Some more singers I like are Peter Gabriel, Don Henley, Shinedown, and Michael Jackson. XD None of these singers/bands are anything alike; I have a weird taste.
What kinds of music do you like?

@Lycanis: Awesome! Just be warned, if you do buy it in the future, it's not very good. :P At least, not in my opinion...

@Vav: Haha, yeah, I thought so too. But everybody I told about it said, "Is this a Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off?" And I had to say, "Noooo..." In defense, Will isn't a very major character. XDD
Yes, 13th Reality is what I was thinking of when I named him! And yes, I suppose most fantasy fanatics like Celtic things. ^.^

@Millicent: The name of it is "Sangre: The Phantom's Lair". It's about pirates. :) And yes, Celtic rules! :D

@Lady Rwebhu: Sure, that works too. Reed is my middle name; my first name is Theodora. :) Ah, yes--Renna Beksael is the name of one of my novel characters. I don't know where I found the name; though Renna says it's a word from the Old Language that means 'sky'. :)
Aw, thanks for the flowers! :D And Busheh described The Great Dusteh Chase perfectly, just above my post. ^^

Celtic is very cool. The Brave soundtrack has some neat celtic music.

By the way, I'm also 15 and my birthday is just one month and two days before yours. Just a random realization that I thought was cool. :D

Yeah, I don't think we'd mind something like the Great Dusteh Chase here on April Fools...you should have seen the glitter spreader.

Thank you!

Aw, thanks. :) It was kind of a last minute thing. I used the name of one of my book characters (Renna) and added 'the Gray' to the end of it, because I always thought the name 'Gandalf the Gray' sounded epic. XD

Oh, I have no doubt that I will! I already have grown quite fond of this forum... I doubt you're the only one. :D

I'm glad to hear that. I would feel terrible if a member did not feel welcome. Especially with such a huge community of welcoming people.

I think you're right about that last statement!
