Hi y'all,
I stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago, and today I just got my beta invite and I signed up. It looks really cool, the logline of the site is: Burrst is a site for sharing short pieces of fiction 'bursts' of 1,250 words or less (both written & spoken).

This seems like a really cool concept, and though it's still in beta it seems like it would seem natural that eventually the product could have features like goals you could set to write a certain number of burrsts a weeek, or maybe features to sort and organize the burrsts, so that you could use the product like a brainstorming tool.

Anyways, I thought I would throw the link out there for y'all: http://www.burrst.com If you sign up for a beta invite, I got mine about a week after I signed up, so not too long =)

Andrew

Wow that sounds cool! I might join as a reader...but I'm not sure I'd like writing stuff and not editing it. o.O
Anyhow, thanks for the link, that site looks really cool...and I might be dragged into it eventually. ;) (if not to write burrsts, then at least to read the ones you and other HWers hopefully post there)

*pokes* Did anyone sign up for this? I've been posting some of my writing on it and I really like it. I'm surprised that random people are actually reading the stuff :)

*pokes again*

Burrst's refocused now to share writing daily, in short 'burrsts.' It seems like a great way to get your writing more consistent daily. I'm going to start doing it daily soon.

Has anyone else joined this -- I'd love some HWers on there :D

I joined, as you saw, though I never saw this thread before...

And I want you to start writing daily on there, sir. ^_^ ;)

Cool site!

I'm considering asking someone for an invite, but this one line in the Terms caught my eye:
Quote:
By submitting content to Getme for inclusion on burrst, com, you grant Getme a world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish the content solely for the purpose of displaying, distributing and promoting your content.

If that just means that they have the right to have it on their site, I'm okay with it, but I don't know much about legal jargon so...

*goes to make a reader-only account*
