*waves* greetings all!
My name, as you can see, is (currently) Akembra Mimetes.

Now, here's the serious part...if ANYONE thinks it is presumptuous of me to add 'mimetes', please let me know. I don't know Sir Emeth/Jay as well as most of you do, but I have been snooping around HW and his blog for a while (oops, did I just say that? ;) ) and I am aware of his current situation. What little I know of him (through his blog posts) shows how richly God has used him and proves to me his innocence. I fully support him and am in awe of the strength he and other Holy Worlders have exhibited. You guys are amazing, and I am honored to join you.

Perhaps you'd like to switch to talking about me? It's one of my least favorite subjects, but I suppose it's required... I love writing and reading, especially fantasy, as you may have guessed. I'm on the verge of graduating high school (eek!), and have been homeschooled since the last half of 11th grade. You may also find me on the OYAN forum under a different name. I am often considered a perfectionist (I don't see it ;) ), and I love worldbuilding!

That's all for now...feel free to ask questions! I'm better at answering than giving a long soliloquy about myself :P

Welcome to HolyWorlds, Akembra! We're so glad to have you! :D I personally, don't think it is presumptuous of you to use Mimetes in your username at all, since you most definitely understand why we have done it. I think it is a blessing that you have come here supporting him. :)

You love reading! Awesome! So do I! :D Do you have any favourite authors? What genres do you like reading the best?

And now I must happy spazzy dance since I got in the first post. :dieshappy:

Welcome to the Mimetes family! *throws glitter around the room*

Congratulations on graduating soon! It must be SO exciting :D *hands Akembra a piece of ice cream cake, then places the rest of the cake on a table for later* ;)

See you around!

Coming from a close friend of Jay, it is not presumptuous at all. Jay will be thrilled, and we are happy to have you join us in the battle. Thank you for showing your support and joing us here. :D Hope you feel right at home!

Welcome to Holy Worlds! :D It's not presumptuous to show support. :)

Do you have favorite aspects of world building, or do you like all of world building equally?

Hi, Akembra! I'm sure Jay would be very happy to know that you're supporting him.

I love to read, too. Some may call me a bookworm, but I don't mind. :D Like Bushy, I'd like to know your favorite authors. I'm afraid I have too many favorite authors to write here!

We have a forum specifically for world building, maybe you'd like to go and check that out some! We also have a forum just for good reads and films. :D

See you around on the forums, Akembra!

Post subject:  Re: A Somewhat Serious Introduction

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm glad my name isn't an issue!

I am definitely a bookworm (and I love that there's a smiley for that! :book: ). My current favorite authors include Tolkien and CS Lewis, and I like classics too- Shakespeare, Milton, etc. I'm finding that some of my old favorites are not quite as well written as I had thought they were...and I go through phases of different fiction genres.

Thank you for the goodies! I will save them for later :) I'm both excited and nervous about graduation. I don't like big changes, but I'm excited to be able to dig into one subject in more depth (though I don't know definitively what major yet).

I really enjoy fleshing out the culture of a people, and am trying to create languages, or semblances of languages, as well. Political and economical systems bamboozle me in real life, so I haven't done much there yet :P

 I look forward to seeing you all around the forum!

Welcome, Akembra! I agree with everyone else, it's totally fine and even deeply appreciated that you'd be showing our King support in that way. :D

Ooh, I love worldbuilding too! And there are a lot of helpful threads for it, there's even a bit of a system for making a phonetic system for a fantasy race...that could help with your creating a semblance of language, so here it is. ;)

I love to read as well! My favorite authors also include Tolkien and Lewis, and I also am finding that some of my favorite books aren't as well written by some people's standards as I thought (a very strange feeling if I may say so), I'm a big Hardy Boys (old books!) fan...

I'm close to the same age as you, so I also am a bit scared of "graduating" soon... :pale:

Lycanis, it is indeed a strange feeling. I used to love these series, so it's shocking and sad/funny to see how poor my taste used to be. Hopefully I can find some of a better quality soon. Ha - I read a few Hardy Boys books, but we had more in the Nancy Drew series. And yes, graduation looks very scary to me. Too many choices!

I feel very welcomed :) Nice to meet you all!

Welcome, Akembra! We're glad to have you.
We should chat about political and economical systems sometime. I'm not much good with them right now either, but I love Social Studies and I like to learn with other people.

Akembra, how many siblings do you have, and are you homeschooled?

NotThatShort, it's never too late! I have one sister, who is younger than me, and yes, I'm homeschooled...but only for the last year and a half. I wish I could've started earlier, it's so much fun!

Yes, I did. :D And go ahead and call me Iza. I like that nickname too. It fits right in with other half dozen nicknames I have from old usernames. :D

I'm the other way around... I've been homeschooled all my life and now I'm about to go into sixth form D: but homeschooling IS so fun. ^_^
