Post subject:  Hello there!

Hi! I’m Phaidra (a.k.a. Kate) and I’m not very good at introducing myself, but I’ll give it a try anyway. I was browsing the internet looking for like minded fantasy writers when I came across this forum. I didn’t expect to find something like this, and the next thing I knew was that I was signed up.

Now, I suppose I must say a few things about myself:
- I just recently graduated from high school (I was homeschooled all the way up)
-I wish I were born in the Middle Ages
-I have been in love with horses ever since I can remember and I’ve been riding off and on for about eight years
- I like singing (no, you do not want to hear me)
-I enjoy doing anything artistic.

I am new to the fantasy genre, I mostly dabbled around in historical fiction until now, but I’ve always had a love for books such as Narnia and LOTR. I’ve been dreaming stories up and role playing as far back as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I was about eight that I first realized that someone had to write all those books I was reading. From then on, I began to wonder what it would be like if I ever got published (yep, I dreamed big back then). Now, after ten years of research and a pile of unfinished stories, I still have yet to get anything published or even completed for that matter. I’m still trudging towards that goal, but I’ve discovered that sometimes the process is more fun than the completion of it.

I guess that is about it. This forum looks like a lot of craziness and good discussion and I’m looking forward to being apart of it.

Hi, Kate! It's lovely to have you! *Hands out brownies*

Being born in the middle ages would certainly help with fantasy research.

Post subject:  Re: Hello there!

I have always wanted to be born in the pioneer era, and the modern era and the colonial era, and the American revolution, and the great depression...
Anywho, welcome!

You guessed right. This forum is very crazy at times, but I've learned so much from it (and become crazy myself) that I wouldn't trade my Holy Worlds account for a million dollars. (Well, maybe I would, if I could re-register immediately after... ;) Nah, I love these people too much. ^_^)

Thanks for the warm welcomes! *Sees brownies* Ooh, chocolate!

You have a good point, Aliza. Sometimes I wish there was time travel just so I wouldn’t have to spend hours on the internet looking up one tiny little detail. Ah, well research can be fun in its own way.

*High fives Milly back* Yep, I love drawing! I mainly do black and white sketches. I’ve not quite got the color stuff down yet, but I’ve always wanted to try painting.

Thanks! Bush, Phaidra is Greek and means "bright". It is also the name of my MC in my current WIP :D . And don't worry about the craziness. I'm used to it :P.

It would be handy! Research is fun, though I think time travel would be even better. ^_^
