As the title implies, I'm not really sure I'll be completely absent from this fine land, but tomorrow at noon I and my family will be leaving for an early birthday vacation for me and my mom, we'll get back Saturday afternoon.
But, there might be wireless at the place we go, in which case I'll probably be on HW part of the time (though we'll of course be doing other things a lot too), so you can expect a decent intermission from my full-fledged postage on here for a few days.

I'm back now!...even though I was able to be on a bit a couple of times during the vacation (one of those times was on my ipod walking around in fred meyer, ), now I can go back to my normal postage rate.

Thank you. Yes, I did, we did a bit of hiking (not much at all though, just down into a canyon to look at some interesting rock formations...called smith rock (though my little brother says sith rock would be a better name for them).
We also went and dug up geodes at a ranch and had them cut open, that was pretty fun, and then we also saw a HUUUGGEEE geode (I guess, unless it's something else when it is too big to fit in the trunk of a car) that they had that was full of purple crystal-looking things...I wish I had pictures.
Oh and in the car (and at sith rock) I got some pretty awesome pictures that have inspired some fantasy setting types for my world, so that's cool to, I'm hoping to post some pictures tomorrow or this week.

Geodes are cool. They look like nothing on the outside, but on the inside...

It's neat to come across ideas for fantasy worlds in nature.

Yeah they are, I think there's an analogy in there somewhere...

Yes, it is an art I'm trying to master.
