So I saw the French and Spanish threads and thought we could use an Italian thread too. If there's anyone here who speaks/reads Italian and wants to practice, this is the place. In Italiano: Ho visto i fili di francese e spagnolo e pensato che potremmo usare anche un filo d'italiano. Se c'è qualcuno qui che parla o legge l'italiano e ha voglia di praticare, questo è il posto. Io comincierò: Buon giorno a tutti. Mi chiamo SamStarrett e sono più o meno fluente in italiano, ma è vero che con istudiare lo spagnolo tanto a volte parlo in lui quando intento parlare l'italiano. Spero che questo filo mi aiuterà a parlare meglio l'italiano. |

Did you know that Nathaniel Bowditch taught himself to speak French and Latin with a dictionary and a Bible in each? (I believe he did have some help with the French though....)

Studio means to study? And yes, I was quite unsure of the meaning of quello...though I can't remember on the moment what it was I thought it meant. I did not mean to use vero as a verb, however...I meant it to be an adjective. I think I put it in the wrong place that time, though. He took an English Bible and compared it to the Bible in the other language, rather like what I am doing here with what you are saying. Then when he advanced further he could use the dictionary to refine his skill.
