Well...that's me! Eruheran is, of course, elvish and it means 'roped in by the Lord' or 'submitted to the Lord'...it doesn't translate into my real name but the meaning is pretty cool. :D

I am the knight of Dorodhiel because it means Cheyenne in English. I think Cheyenne is pretty much the coolest name that exists :D ...haven't used it in a story yet (in normal or Elvish form). And if someone on this forum is named Cheyenne by any chance...you've got a great name! (And you can sue me and make me pay trillion dollar royalties for using your name in a story I might write! :D)

I'm obsessed with the smileys, as are several others of you, I've noticed...but then they add expression to the writing, so I like them. If anyone abhors my use of smileys...I guess I can try to stop using them, but it'll be hard! :D

Well, I'm not a published author, not by a long shot, but I have completed the rough draft of one book which may find its way on here in one form or another. It's a fantasy story but it's very mediocre in my opinion, but it was a good learning experience and I'll be springboarding off of that story as a base as I use the resources on the forum here.

Wow, I've written quite a bit. I'll shut up now and try to get to know some of the rest of y'all and do some writing!

Glad to be here,
Eruheran

Welcome, Eruheran!  I love your name, by the way. :D We're glad to have you onboard, here's hoping you don't mind tons or zaniness.  I hope you enjoy being on HW, it's a really awesome forum (but then again, I'm a little biased ;)).Do you have a favorite fantasy series, or are you working on creating your own? Anyway, it's really nice to meet you. :) Welcome!

Hi y'all,
I've been following the forum for the past three hours or so, just reading and kicking in my two cents every once in a while...but I've noticed the craziness. I think it affects all writers, though, since I suffer from the same problem (If you can call it suffering...I enjoy it!)

Well, my favorite fantasy series is Narnia...just because of the amazing allegories and things that are present in it. I really like Lord of the Rings for the linguistic and racial stuff that Tolkien weaves in, it's really amazing!

I've also read a couple of newer fantasy series, but none of them are as good as the two above! :D I'm working on a fantasy book but I'm not sure where it's heading. I finished it last summer but I think I'm going to end up scrapping the entire thing and working with a light, flexible framework of the old story to create a new one.

I'm looking forward to reading more on the forum and contributing things...and joining the close-knit community of self-advertised weird people on here! :D

Lord of the Rings and Narnia beat all the fantasy books I've read. ;)

(now, I can't decide if LotR or Narnia is better........I think they're for different age ranges so they can't be compared. :D)

Self-advertised and weird? Hmph!

Honestly, though, looking forward to getting to know you. I'll admit, it can get reeeeally ... strange ... around here. Prepare and guard yourself well, my friend.

Can't wait to see some of your writing. :D
