Hear ye, hear ye! In the name of the King this day is proclaimed a day of rejoicing, of celebration, and of general foolishness! Being this the very first day of the month of April, one time known as the beginning of the new year, it is a day given over to all manner of pranks, tricks, and jokes. Be ye warned this day has only two rules: 1. Any jokes, pranks or tricks must hurt no one, nor damage any thing, neither friendships, nor feelings nor smileys, nor code. 2. All jokes, pranks or tricks executed on this day are solely amusing in nature, and if there is anyone who would not enjoy them they are forbidden. The person you're tricking maybe be slightly aggravated, but they must be amused. If everyone doesn't have fun, no one may have fun. That said, ye are freed from duties and called to dance and revel in the streets to delight your king and council. Come hither to greet each other, to share your delight and your wonder, to guess at riddles, to tease, but most of all to laugh. For this is a laughing day, and sober faces are forbidden. (This is the exact text of last years announcement! April Fool's Day is a day Jay loves to observe, so don't forget to check out the trouble we're planning for him! My thoughts upon trying to log into HW, in sequential order: 1. They changed my username. Hmph. 2. What on Earth could they have changed my name to? 3. Oh dear, we're doing Middle Earth names. 4. It's not even April yet where I live. We're an international community! |

Can you find a country hidden in the following paragraph? Precipitation is the primary mechanism for transporting water from the atmosphere to the surface of the earth. Different forms of precipitation are rain, freezing rain, sleet, hail and snow. |

Altering every instance of "Holy Worlds" to "April Fools" Changing the names of the Council to their LotR counterparts Rearranging the order of the forum sections Reinstating the pink rings and the rank of "April Fool" for all registered members. I pretended to be Judge Frollo I pretended to be Vanya (quite successfully I must say!) I pretended to be Lasaraleen I was The Glitter Spreader and created the challenge, with the help of Milly I also was Yahoo [Bot] and fought against Gooogle [Bot] As the Glitter Spreader I went on a posting spree that didn't seem to make sense unless you followed my challenge. I changed my name to Joanna Fuzby as an inside joke I changed my avatar and default usergroup ... hmm, several times I posed as Thing 5.8 and fooled Jaynin  But the coup d'état was ... wait for it ... ... making ze entire forum speak in ze bad French accent! Mwahaha! Sorry to whomever I annoyed, but my mom and I were having too much fun to stop until Jaynin told me to.  And it was April Fool's day.

Finally, I am guilty of taking a huge amount of screen shots of the pink forums and a bunch of profile shots to show changed usernames. It was fun! I think that's it! It was a great April Fools day.
