Post subject:  Songs for Encouragement

I've noticed some of us during this time have found songs that are relevant to our prayers. I thought we could post the songs of encouragement we have found on this thread to share with each other as we pray. :)

Some songs I have found encouraging and relevant are:
Yes We Can
No Chains on Me by Chris Tomlin
Trials Turned to Gold by Keith Green

"Walk by Faith" by Jeremy Camp

"I Still Believe" by Jeremy Camp

I might be back with more later.

Bushy, I have literally listened to Yes We Can at least 50 times today. If I'm on the computer, I'm listening to it. Right now, too. I'll be listening to the other ones too. :D

I love "Counting on God" by Phillips, Craig, & Dean! We have the CD it's on, and I think my mom's tired of hearing that song because I've played it so often.

Yesterday I was feeling pretty discouraged and was encouraged by this song's lyrics: Sometimes - By David Crowder You have to read the lyrics in the description if you can't understand them without looking!

*Nods* Songs that do that for you are amazing.

I've been listening to Lecrae recently. I am not into rap, but the words in his songs are fantastic. I really like Desperate, Praying for you, and Take me as I am. They're worth listening to, the words are really good. :)

Yeah, I think that's a lot of why I love music, I think emotions are important sometimes (in this case, in worship), and music makes it so I can't block them out.

I'm the same way, I'll listen to songs even if they're not my favorite style of music if the lyrics are good. (The first song I listened to by the DC*B sounded weird to me at the time and I almost didn't finish listening to it, but I heard the words and decided they were more important than whether I liked the music (same thing with his hairstyle, ), now his is my favorite music ever...)

I want to listen to those songs you mentioned, hopefully I can do that soon. :D

Of course I post something really different. Hehe. I love this song so much.

And this has always been one of my favorite hymns (along with It Is Well, Be Thou My Vision and Blessed Assurance), and having it done by one of the long-lasting guys in country music is so awesome. He did an entire album of hymns/gospel songs, which is pretty much a compilation of all my favorite ones ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBNG3TYnnZw

It is Well and Blessed Assurance are beautiful hymns.

I flicked on the channel for the TV show "The Voice" a few days ago, and saw a girl singing this song, and I loved it. I bought it that same night and I have been listening to it quite a bit. I thought I would share it.
