Post subject:  In which I was abandoned...
To my large dismay, I hath been abandoned. :'(

This afternoon, when I tried to turn on my computer, it refused to wake up. Alas, no amount of pushing, shoving, yelling, or miscellaneous drastic measures would result in success of bringing it back to the land of the awake -- my computer is in a coma.

As to what that means for the forums... I'm not sure yet. :P I know that for now I can still access the forums on my Dad's computer, but that might not be feasible forever.

If I find out that I'll have to leave for an extended period of time, I'll let you all know. :)

There's an off-chance that my being able to use Dad's laptop will let me stay on the forum, but I admit indefinite use of the computer doesn't sound probable right now.

That does happen to my laptop sometimes, Sui. It won't switch on, or do anything and I take out the battery from underneath it, take out the charger out of the back, hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then I put the charger and battery back in and it wakes back up. It was something I read to do on the internet and it always works for me. It might be something that won't work for yours I know. :( But it's worth a try, maybe?

Try attacking Google. It sounds like a very simple problem, one that can be easily fixed. I hope so, anyway...

From what we've seen, it looks more likely for it to not be easily fixed than otherwise. :P

I have lost some temporarily. :'( Thankfully, I don't immediately need any of what I lost (actually, there is one small part I could use right now, but I've figured out a way to work around it), and, if it turns out my computer won't come out its coma, my grandfather has a device which can retrieve my files anyways. :)

I hope you can get one soon. Have you tried Craigslist? That's a place where people sell used stuff, and my daddy recently got nice laptop on there, for a really low price.

I came across that last month on Tumblr as well and drooled. The two reasons I don't own one right now is 1.) it's crazy expensive for a case 2.) the zipper could potentially scratch the laptop. :P But it's really so cool. *shining eyes*
