As a writer, do you create blog buttons for your books? Have you had a lot of use for them, personally? Have you seen your fans making significant use of them?

As a reader, would you use a blog button for your favorite books? Would you put that kind of thing on your blog as support for the author?

As a blog reader, would you pay attention to a blog button promoting a book? What information would it need to have on it to intrigue you?

I had blog buttons made for my first novel, Red Rain. However, I didn't have much use for them myself - it works much better for me just to put a downsized picture of the cover in my sidebar. However, I had several of my friends use the buttons on their blog, so I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth it to order a button for my next book.

I am very visual. My eye is naturally drawn to blog buttons, banners, and the sort. I haven't had any experience making blog buttons for my books (probably because none of them are published), but I'd be willing to try it sometime. :D

I am the same as Elly. One of the key things I take notice of when visiting a blog is the blog buttons. Plus, when they are uniquely yours, it's always interesting to see when other blogs have used them, because I usually find myself saying, "Oh look! There's such-and-such's book! S/he must like it."

Plus, I love blog buttons in general, so often if I find a good thing, I'll turn it into a blog button and stick it on my own blog. :D

I think they would be very effective on other people's blogs.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

Definitely. I only follow blogs made by friends anyways, and, for me, the most important thing that matters when I'm considering reading a book is word-of-mouth. I'm much, much more likely to read a book if a friend endorses it.
