I have recently started work on a comedy YouTube series called Rough Writers, delving into the mysterious and somewhat wacky life of writing addicts everywere. Two days ago I uploaded the first episode, and thought you guys would prolly appreciate. ;)

This first video is dedicated to for all you devoted people who finished NaNoWriMo—and issues a new challenge to anybody who hasn’t had quite enough writing-induced agony yet. Cheers.

Bahahahaha, that's funny! Well, since I've never done NaNoWriMo before, I think I'll pass on this one. ;)

I watched this yesterday. It's hilarious! I might do once I have done Nano. :D You know, I might even do a short novel... in three days. I better practice. :D

I don't think I'd do it actually. But, I'd like to see someone do it. :)

Oh, the thing about drinking water. You could just have a long straw and drink the water while you are typing.

And the thing about eating. You could have an assistant feed you as you type. ;)

That's true. Although finding a willing assistant for that could be ruther difficult... Siblings are out of the question, I think. I need C3-PO. Or a servile Dwarf. Or something. :p

From what I have seen of the 3-day novel site, most of the novels are more novella-sized, which suddenly turns the challenge into something very feasible. *shall argue this* Another interesting thing to note about the 3-day novel site is that FINISHING the novel includes squishing some sort of editing in there too. http://www.3daynovel.com/ Which makes it... less feasible.

The site itself is actually a contest, and the winner is offered a publishing contract (the implication being there will be more editing!), but there are also the usual contest fees. So whether or not you want to align yourself with the actual site or turn the challenge into something else for you personally is your choice.

Very true. I believe there are also cash prizes, which is another source of incentive I failed to mention...
So do you plan to do the 3 day challenge? :D

Me? Oh no, not yet. For pete's sake, I failed NaNoWriMo this year. But I see myself doing it in the future.

That's right. $500 and $100 bucks for second and third places.

I might take on the challenge! What dates is it on again?

This would be so much easier if they put NaNoWriMo and the 3 day challenge in summer... Don't they know November and September are reaaaaaalllly bad months to do stuff like this in?

That was hilarious. Great work, but I don't think I will be participating in this insanity this time around. Fun though it sounds. (Seriously, it sounds awesome.)

I'm pretty sure it's September 1st through the 3rd... Let us know if you decide to go for it. ;)
And yeh, I've never understood why they do that... November especially. Sheesh. Oh well.

Are you talking about my video? Because I have a link to it up in the topic... that might be a little easier than searching for it. :p

*takes deep breath* I've set the dates. And I have no idea what I'm getting myself into, having never even written one in a month. The first draft of my last novel took a year...
