:bawl:

No, I'm not actually crying...I just really like that smiley and have been waiting for a long time to use it....

* leans chin on hands and watches it *

* glances up finally * Eh...sorry. * grins *

This is my introduction thread, but I'm the only one here so far, so there's no one here to introduce me. :( * thinks * I'll just have to do it myself, then, I suppose...

Forum – Juliet.

* turns around *

Juliet – Forum.

(I'm glad that's over with, because now no one will eat me. * deep breath * * suddenly is suspicious of the manners of a wild Holyworlder * Right?...)

You know, it feels kind of strange to be introduced when I've already been here for so long. * smiles * I've only just been allowed to actually appear, though, after being here for three years. I get to talk now! * ponders exciting possibilities until she's too excited to type * * goes off and cleans house for awhile to calm down *

I can't think of anything to say at the moment, though...except –

Boo!

You can ask questions if you'd like...I like answering questions better than trying to ramble about myself. :)

Juliet!! *Hugs tightly*

*Dances around with Juliet just because Elanor is so excited to see you*

Happy birthday by the way, although it's belated! I did say hello to you in the chat room, even though you weren't on there.

I am so glad you are here!

Jay always said you were brilliant at Essence maps. In fact, didn't you first start them? Do you write a lot as well?

Anyway! I can't think of anything else to say! But it is awesome to have you here with us. ^_^

Love you!

Elanor xxx

Welcome, Juliet! Another Lauser! :dieshappy: I like your name. :D

I'm curious...if you've been a member for three years, how come you weren't allowed to appear? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I have a notoriously unruly curiosity.

Welcome welcome! I's goin' to 'ave to make a list of all the Lausers now..I'm losing track of ya'll.

Welcome! I too am curious to know how you are just coming to introduce yourself after three years of hanging around. Did you have an account, or did you just observe through your brothers?
*plants a glittter bomb in the basket of muffins*
Wild HWers with glitter? *innocent face* What on earth are you talking about?

* laughs * Yes, I did. But I am trained in deciphering Patrick, so that is not very surprising.... * smiles * I score surprisingly well in his on-the-spot tests.

I wasn't trying very hard when I did think of it, though. I wasn't even thinking about it in fact. I was just walking along down a street in Cork, and suddenly I stopped for Patrick to catch up with me (our family gets rather strung out when there's room). I told him my guess, and he said yes. (Of course he knew what I was talking about...we always do. * grins *)

I looked at him for a moment or two.

“That – is – rather a mean riddle, Patrick.”

Yes, lots. * laughs * But I think what you mean by favorite animal, and what I mean by favorite animal, are likely not the same thing. You see, one of my favorite animals is my baby elephant Wrinkle. And another one is my rabbit, Windy. I like them very much. * smiles at them *

But...to answer you how you meant it...I don’t really have any favorite animals. I have some animals that are not my favourites, but there are so many that are that it would be hard to list them. They range from cuttlefish to elephants and squirrels to elf owls to triceratops to June beetles. :)

I joined when I was thirteen, early in its stages of growth, because it was convenient for certain things, and because I have been allowed to post on occasion. But one of my family’s rules is that the children aren't really allowed on the internet until they turn 16.

Nice long post, Juliet! I like your family rule. That is a good idea.

Thank you so much for telling us which Lauser's you are related to. That is very helpful.

You have twins for siblings? That must be fun. How many siblings do you have?

I knew I would like this person because of what I had heard of her and because she was a Lauser.

And then I knew I'd really like this person because she commented on Beorn's thread.

And then I knew I'd really, really like this person when I read her Intro thread. ;)

A belated full welcome to you, Lady Rwebhu -- or would you prefer Juliet? :D

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Juliet. ^^ I've heard of you on the forums, but I never had a chance to formally meet you.

Why on earth were you kept silent for so long??

I look forward to seeing you around the forum!

When Mom was pregnant with Seth, we all wanted twins (except her).

Calista, my youngest sister and I are sometimes mistaken for twins. We sometimes joke with the people who say that by saying, "Yeah, it was a reaalllyyy long labor." Then comes the punch line: "seven years" :dieshappy:.

They sound nice.  What are they like?

* smiles * Well...I am a very practical person. And so when I like doing something, I do it, even if it is a bit odd for someone my age. And...I like pretending about things. So I do. I have many little friends - a stick figure, a herd of model horses, an eraser. That is who Wrinkle and Windy Yuss are.

Wrinkle, as I said, is a baby elephant, a schleich model. He is a tannish gray color, with manly feet, big ears, a swinging tail, and a nose that is always getting into things. He's the worst one of mine for wanting to Know Things. * smiles * When I have time I always leave him with something to explore.

Windy is a lazy, impudent little gray rabbit who lies on my desk all day, and is sweet sometimes. But...the times are very far apart. He holds his head up, alert and carefree, his ears up, short and easy, and he has a darker gray stripe down his back. He is very distracting when he has a chance.... But I like him anyway, he is such a lazy, pert little fellow, and I believe I still would even if he was never sweet. * smiles *

*nods* There are so many fascinating animals. What are the animals that are not your favorites?

* thinks for awhile * Penguins, and giraffes, and giant yellow garden spiders, and wagtails, and...* can't remember the one she was thinking of * I do not think that is all of them, but some of them anyway. :)

Quote:
Lady Rwebhu sounds like quite a character. Will you tell us more about her?

* smiles * Well...Rwebhu is really the reason I am here. She is a character of my world, Ccwiicc; a real character, but she moves through time as easily as space, and through walls as easily as doors. She is almost like an aspect of me, in a way – but not really, I don't think. She is like a personification of discovery.

I am Juliet, and I am the one who types, and writes, and I suppose I am the one who ultimately everything in my world came from. But – * laughs * – it does not often seem like it. More than half the time, it is Lady Rwebhu who tells me about things, rather than I who consciously make them. When I want to know something, really the best way to find out about it is to send Rwebhu to go find out, go see, or go ask someone, someone in my world. And it always turns out better than I could have made it up. It is very strange.... She has some interesting adventures as well. Perhaps I should write some of them down...it might be an enjoyable way to describe some of the things in my world.

Lady Rwebhu, though, is a person, who has a face, and a personality, as well as any of my characters. She is Rwemún, or at least of Rwemún descent, I am not sure which; and her name is in Rwanó (which is even harder to pronounce than it is to spell usually :P). She looks fairly ordinary.... At least, well – * laughs a little * I am forgetting that I am not writing to myself. She looks ordinary for a Rwemún, not for us. Rwemún are the mountain folk, and they are very pale and small and thin compared to a normal Caucasian. Their faces are also rather thin. And their hair and eyes are very light, oftenest silver or white or pale blond, and light blue or gray or amber or green. Rwebhu has silver hair and gray eyes.

Anyway...she likes to tease me about everything she knows and I don't, and it used to be rather annoying, when I actually tried arguing with her. Because – she was always right. I've given up arguing by now. * wry smile * I just get a paper ready to take notes.

Sorry...maybe that was a little too much about her. :)

Quote:
That's right! ...but, if there are any time constraints (such as a 5 hour time limit) I could see why you'd want to stop...

* nods * Precisely. :) Except my time limit is only 15 minutes.

But if y'all want some more...Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Keith Kressin (I've only read one of his books, so I can't say anything generally – but at least I can assure you he is brilliant at math curricula), Marc Schooley, A A Milne, Rudyard Kipling, Frances Hodgson Burnett, and Jean Lee Latham (again, I've only read one of hers, but it was one of my highest favorites of books), are several others. * grins *

'With Frederick The Great' and the one about the first afghan war, and 'A Cornet of Horse' - I think. I'd have to think longer to be sure. * grins *

A few years ago my sister and I got to babysit twins every week..we found out through trial and error that it worked best to take one kid each. Nonetheless, I dearly hope God gives me twins. :dieshappy:

Hmm, I don't think I've read those ones before, except for the one about the afghan war. What was the title for that one? :?
