I wasn't trying very hard when I did think of it, though. I wasn't even thinking about it in fact. I was just walking along down a street in Cork, and suddenly I stopped for Patrick to catch up with me (our family gets rather strung out when there's room). I told him my guess, and he said yes. Yes, lots. * laughs * But I think what you mean by favorite animal, and what I mean by favorite animal, are likely not the same thing. You see, one of my favorite animals is my baby elephant Wrinkle. And another one is my rabbit, Windy. I like them very much. * smiles at them *

But...to answer you how you meant it...I don’t really have any favorite animals. I have some animals that are not my favourites, but there are so many that are that it would be hard to list them. They range from cuttlefish to elephants and squirrels to elf owls to triceratops to June beetles.

Calista, my youngest sister and I are sometimes mistaken for twins. We sometimes joke with the people who say that by saying, "Yeah, it was a reaalllyyy long labor." Then comes the punch line: "seven years" .

* smiles * Well...I am a very practical person. And so when I like doing something, I do it, even if it is a bit odd for someone my age. And...I like pretending about things. So I do. I have many little friends - a stick figure, a herd of model horses, an eraser. That is who Wrinkle and Windy Yuss are.

Wrinkle, as I said, is a baby elephant, a schleich model. He is a tannish gray color, with manly feet, big ears, a swinging tail, and a nose that is always getting into things. He's the worst one of mine for wanting to Know Things. * smiles * When I have time I always leave him with something to explore.

Windy is a lazy, impudent little gray rabbit who lies on my desk all day, and is sweet sometimes. But...the times are very far apart. He holds his head up, alert and carefree, his ears up, short and easy, and he has a darker gray stripe down his back. He is very distracting when he has a chance.... But I like him anyway, he is such a lazy, pert little fellow, and I believe I still would even if he was never sweet. * smiles *

* smiles * Well...Rwebhu is really the reason I am here. She is a character of my world, Ccwiicc; a real character, but she moves through time as easily as space, and through walls as easily as doors. She is almost like an aspect of me, in a way – but not really, I don't think. She is like a personification of discovery.

I am Juliet, and I am the one who types, and writes, and I suppose I am the one who ultimately everything in my world came from. But – * laughs * – it does not often seem like it. More than half the time, it is Lady Rwebhu who tells me about things, rather than I who consciously make them. When I want to know something, really the best way to find out about it is to send Rwebhu to go find out, go see, or go ask someone, someone in my world. And it always turns out better than I could have made it up. It is very strange.... She has some interesting adventures as well. Perhaps I should write some of them down...it might be an enjoyable way to describe some of the things in my world.

Lady Rwebhu, though, is a person, who has a face, and a personality, as well as any of my characters. She is Rwemún, or at least of Rwemún descent, I am not sure which; and her name is in Rwanó (which is even harder to pronounce than it is to spell usually ). She looks fairly ordinary.... At least, well – * laughs a little * I am forgetting that I am not writing to myself. She looks ordinary for a Rwemún, not for us. Rwemún are the mountain folk, and they are very pale and small and thin compared to a normal Caucasian. Their faces are also rather thin. And their hair and eyes are very light, oftenest silver or white or pale blond, and light blue or gray or amber or green. Rwebhu has silver hair and gray eyes.

Anyway...she likes to tease me about everything she knows and I don't, and it used to be rather annoying, when I actually tried arguing with her. Because – she was always right. I've given up arguing by now. * wry smile * I just get a paper ready to take notes.

Sorry...maybe that was a little too much about her.

But if y'all want some more...Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Keith Kressin (I've only read one of his books, so I can't say anything generally – but at least I can assure you he is brilliant at math curricula), Marc Schooley, A A Milne, Rudyard Kipling, Frances Hodgson Burnett, and Jean Lee Latham (again, I've only read one of hers, but it was one of my highest favorites of books), are several others. * grins *

The odd thing when I turned sixteen was... I felt younger rather than older.
But now that I'm eighteen, I keep my eye out for gray hairs.
Lady Rwebhu does indeed sound interesting! And I know what you mean by it not feeling like you yourself are writing the story! Often, I feel as if I'm discovering a story that's happening already, not actually making it all up.
