Oh, oh! *Hand shoots up* I'm part of a bible quizzing program which has made me memorize far more in the past four years then I ever would have alone. Ok, let me explain my self. 
Bible quizzing (I found a site here) is an excellent program that help teens the age of 12-18 memorize the bible. To explain it briefly, it is a organized program across Canada and the US that runs during the school year. A book from the New Testament is being memorized, and during the year you basically end up going through the entire book, studying it, memorizing it, and finally quizzing on it. But not everyone is a big memorizer. For this reason there are three ways to do it, 145, 300, or full material. And three divisions to go along with those. A, B, and C. (I'll get to that in a minute.)
Every week you work on about 1 chapter, you memorize it, then once a week you get together with your quizzing group (seriously, look for one near you!) And your quiz coach will hold a Bible study on that chapter, and you will also have to recite what you memorized. And then you quiz on it. (I'll explain the quizzing part later.) If doing 145, you will probably only get about 3-11 verses to do a week, and in total you'll end up memorizing 145 that year. About 7-20 for 300, and you'll end up with 300 verses in your head at the end of the year. And for full material, you'll end up having memorized, well, duh, everything.  How many per week really depends on the book.
C is the division for the new quizzers, young or old, aka the rookies. The rookies quiz against other rookies so they all have a fair chance. In C 145 is memorized, and that means in total you memorize 145 verses a year. To some of you, this may seem hard. Others are probably thinking "piece of cake." To those thinking the first one, it's not that hard. You don't have that many verses yet.
B division is also 145, and for those quizzers who are not the best at memorizing, or don't have very much time. B quizzers only quiz against other Bs, as all the divisions are separate.
And finally, A division. A is for the those quizzers who love to memorize, and they either do 300 or full material. (This is the division I'm in.) The best quizzers quiz here, the ones that want to go to internationals or Minneapolis. (will explain quiz meets later) They only compete with other quizzers on their level, and to be in this division it takes far more work.
Now, one to the quizzing and meets part! (I'll make this short because I'm starting to feel like I'm derailing Vanya's thread) Basically, you get to jump those funny looking benches that were in the picture in the link above. You quiz on what you have memorized thus far. A quiz meet is where the district that you quiz in all comes to one quizzing group that is hosting, and each division quizzes against others of the same division. Several primarily rounds are held, then after a bit you get to finals, where you compete for trophies. You quiz on a team of 3-5 people, and work together as a team to win.
All in all, it's a fantastic program to get you memorizing. I've been in it 4 years, and memorized large amounts of Luke, 1&2 Corinthians, John, and this year, Hebrews & 1 & 2 Peter. I highly recommend it if you want to memorize the Bible with a nice motive. I'm doing full material as my first time doing this year, and I would not be motivated to do it without quizzing. Once again, it's AMAZING!

) I was only in it for a few years. We did Romans, James, Acts, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. My siblings were in it before me and did amazing. Their teams made it to nationals a few times (I never did).
