Hi,
So though I've already posted a short story... a littly while ago now. :?
I finally logged back on a realized I hadn't even introduced myself!
Hello,
I am 14 almost 15, I'm writing my first fantasy fiction book.
It is a long story, and it is about a boy William who hates fantasy, as a matter of fact he has a younger sister who likes fantasy and they get in a lot of arguments! He gets thrown into a fantasy world.... did you see that coming ;)
So anyway that is what I do, I fell out of my faith a few years ago now I have returned to the shepherd, and written my book in a better mind. I don’t think I would have gotten as far as I have without his guidance.
Sincerely
Me
Fallingstar96

Welcome to Holy Worlds Fallingstar96!

May God bless your work here!

What are your favorite Fantasy stories you have read?

What is the story of the origin of your username?(It sounds rather Sci-fi, and it is neat)

What sort of fantasy world does your character find? What kind of work have you done for it?

(Remember to chew and swallow periodically, to keep from being suffocated by the glitter. It can get very thick in introduction threads, but it is edible I have been told.)

*offers a generous spoonful of sweet, silver glitter*

Hey there, Star! Welcome to Holy Worlds!! I see we have a name similarity--stars are pretty sweet, ain't they? Well, just so you don't get too bewildered, you can call me Even, Estar, Dawn, Evenstar... as you like it, pretty much!

Thank you so very much, you are all so very nice! :)
Thanks, for the glitter silver, gold and pink... I give everyone a 200 pound cookie laced with glitter. :D I will try very hard not to suffocate under the glitter. :D I hope and plan on staying at Holy Worlds for a long time, there was a bit of a mix up when I joined, I messed up when signing up, and created more accounts than I meant to make!
In the end I kept the Fallingstar96 account. :)
FallingStar was used from Stardust (the movie), which I think was better than the book. But everyone has their opinion :) If you don't know the book or movie, it is about a fallingstar which turns out to be a girl and this boy Tristan is trying to impress a girl Victoria and he foolishly says he will retrieve it for her, for her hand in marriage. Then he finds out the star is this really pretty girl… So… you might have to watch the movie.
I found HW through a friend in my youth orchestra group, she has an older sister who writes, so she told me about HW which was really nice, because I love it now! : )
As to my favorite books there are so many! Christopher Paolini ‘s Inheritance series, Tolkien’s books (The Hobbit/ Lord of the Rings), A wizard of Earthsea, Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytales, and so many others! Shirley Barber’s fairy illustrations give me a lot of inspiration as to the looks of my world. (That’s where the jeweled flowers came from.) So any way those are only a few of my books but there are many more. : ) Um, my world is just kind of like England, the thing is it’s hard to explain my world without making three hundred pages on it. :\ But it is rather like the Lord of the rings where there are realms and different kingdoms (as to the way it works) It is filled with wondrous beauty, which comes from around my house which a small creek is just a little ways down the road, and a woodland around it which has magic beyond this world. So this is mostly how I got the ideas for my world if you meant differently on my world, then explain I will try to reply whenever I get back online. : )
Thanks so much, (Throws glitter everywhere!)
Love,
FallingStar96

Hi!
I have of course all the usual fantasy creatures, like Unicorns, Pegasus, Griffins, etc. Though I have been wondering if it’s all right to have dragons in my book seeing as they are supposed to be the sign of the devil I want my book to be Christian fiction, but the dragons are nice… well it takes a little while before we find out their nice but… should I take them out?
We have some different creatures though Pixmints they are really cute, but they are like the Dodo bird, they are very stupid, so when in my book someone calls you a pixmint it means you didn’t plan something well, or are stupid. The Pixmint is a little ball of fluff with a mouse tail (Picture an overly fuzzy Pomeranian which is the size of a teacup Chihuahua, shorten the legs like a Dachshund, and put a mouse tail on it, oh, the ears are a bit like a panda’s.) That is one of the cute creatures, though. I do have an animal it’s a Pegasus and a unicorn some people call them Pegacorns? That’s all I can think of at the moment but as soon as I get off, I’ll remember them all. :(
As far as races go, I have fairies, pixies, elves (Those usual) but I haven’t made any really cool races yet. :( So I might have to wait on answering that one. :(

I have dragons in my world, Star. Most are evil but some are good. I don't think they're a sign of the devil, I have never heard that before. Sounds like a good thread discussion. I don't think you should take them out of your book, but in the end it's totally up to you. :)

I adore the sound of Pixmints. They do sound very cute.

Well, when you think up some more races I'd love to hear about them! In my world I have 4 main races that I am going to base my story off, Dwarves, Te Warriors, Lamig and Elves. :) It's great to have some of the 'usual' fantasy races, but it is also really fun thinking up some new ones as well! I'm having fun with it, anyway. :D

I have seen Stardust, by the way. :dieshappy: And just recently too.

Are you from England? I only ask because I am, and most people here are from America or that way on. :)

Yes, yes! You must promise to come and see me. ;)

Aren't they fun, they're fast becoming my favourite! :dieshappy:

I have never noticed anything about that in the bible to make me think dragons are a sign of the devil, and I have read Revelations. You know which verse etc she was talking about?

Hello Alina, it is nice to meet you! :dieshappy: Don't feel bad or anything I'm very forgetful getting online to check HW, so it took me awhile to see. :)
Uhmm... I have no idea which one she was talking about, but that also came from the girl who wouldn't read C.S. Lewis, I'm very glad I can add dragons back to my book. You guys are great! I love my HW family! <3
As a matter of fact I'm going this Saturday to meet a writer whose book was filled with Dragons. Is anyone familiar with the Inheritance cycle? Not really Christian fiction but…. still a good read. Very excited!
