I'm making this as a companion to the "Your Blog" thread here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1551

If you've looked at that thread, you've looked at some HWer's blogs. And if you've looked at some HWer's blogs, you've found a few that you thought were awesome. And if you've looked at a blog you thought was awesome, you've wanted the author to write a guest post for your blog.

OK, so that last paragraph was a stretch. At any rate, guestbloggers are great for both the guest and the host. The host gets some new blood for their blog (That sounded weird. You know what I mean), and the guestblogger gets to promote. :D

Without further ado, the purpose of this thread is to match hosts and guests. If you're willing to host, link to your blog, explain what you normally write, and explain what you'd like in a guest post. If you'd like to guestpost, explain what you'd like to write. If you see a match, PM that person.

I created this blog to share writing information, how-tos, and resources with other fiction writers. Writing prompts and reviews have also made their way into my posts. Many of my posts are genre-specific to science fiction, fantasy, or adventure, but some can be applied to all writing. My blog is not specifically religious, ei, I'm writing to writers in general, not just writers of Christian fiction, but if something religious comes in naturally I don't censor it. I'd like guest bloggers to share personal writing techniques - this would break my standard "how-to" formula and would let you be more you by sharing a personal technique.

Guestblogger: I've not practiced writing blog posts outside of what I have on my blog, so I'd probably be best guestposting on a writing blog that focuses on information.

Oh, and to help those of you who do not have a guestblogger formula in mind, there's one I like to see as a reader.
[Title] ("Guest Post: [Name of the post, not the author])
[Regular blog author introduces the guestposter by giving a little bio about the person and including a link to the guestposter's regular blog.]
[A line break]
[Title of the post]
[Actual guest post]

Ooo! That's a cool idea, Kathrine! I've seen this done once on an author's blog. She'd interview other authors, artists, or friends she knew. ^^

Interviews are bit different from a guestblogger. With an interview, the post is like a conversation. With a guestblogger, it's a regular looking post, but it's written by someone who is not a regular author on the blog.

Of course, a guestblogger could do an interview. ;)

Ah, I see! So it's like a sampling of someone else's posting on your own blog?
