(Introduction originally posted on HW Sci-fi, but copied and pasted here to introduce myself to y'all.)

Me, of course!

You may know me better as that invisible Jordan person who stalked your ranks during the Read-a-Thon to help check your page totals. Yesterday, though, in seemingly coordinated attack, several HW folkses who also hang out on ChristianFilmmakers.org said that I should, and I paraphrase the quote, come be awesome on Holy Worlds.

Of course, I couldn't ignore an invitation like that. So here I am. :wave:

What do I do? Well, I'm a filmmaker more than a writer, though certain people won't let me forget that they like screenwriting, so I have to do it to keep them happy. However, I much prefer to fill a producer role and help other people who write wayyyyyy better than I do to do just that.

Other than that, I suppose I should explain my user name… Or I could just let people ask what in the world it means. :D

(Oh yeah, and I'm obsessed with parentheticals and ellipses…)

Hello, Malfhok! Welcome to Holy Worlds! I guess I'm the first to ask: What does Malfhok mean? It sounds interesting, but I have no clue what it means! :D

Hello!

Malfhok is the name of a character I played in a set of films I did in 2006 and 2007. It's an acronym for something, which you might discover if you poke around on my web site a bit. ;)

Welcome, do you write much fantasy, or does any of your film work have much of a fantasy flavor?

You're not annoying at all. Enthusiastic greetings are never annoying. :)

My favorite genre is fantasy, I think. I love writing fantasy or doing film work that involves fantasy, though my budgets don't tend to allow me to explore it in film the way I'd like. Getting there.

I'm actually smack dab in the middle of doing pre-production on a fantasy-themed web video series. Some of my writers are brilliant people from HW, I'm told. And then one of my story supervisors is Philli/Aubrey (I'm used to calling her Aubrey). So I have connections around here. I just have to figure out what all my acquaintances' user names are! :D

*chuckles * Oh I can be annoying, and I'm in one of those "I don't care what I say or the fact that I am supposed to be a mature example" moods, so it is very possible I could end up annoying before the day is out, but thanks so much for the kind words. :D

Fantasy can be really expensive to shoot, as I understand. I imagine because it is so... well... otherworldly. You have to create a unique, organic environment to sell it is fantasy, generally. Be it clothing, scene, or other props.

*chuckles * Yeah, we all know Philli is Aubrey/Leah/several other names, but I just can't call her anything other than Philli, mostly because I made the nickname. *shakes head at self *

My brother and his friends like to make movies as well, but on a very small scale. As far as I know, there's not actually a script for any of them...

I'm laughing, Evenstar. I've had people call me Malf before, but none of those others… :D

You could just call me Jordan, actually, if you like. I go by that a lot more often. But I'm not going to complain about what people call me.
