Post subject:  HW lag yesterday

Yesterday HW was having a pretty bad lag and, I was sooooooooooooooooo super duper happy to find out why!! I was waiting for about three minutes for a page to load and it finally took me to another page that was titled General Error. What the General Error page told me was that HW had over its max connections. (Here's where I got pretty happy.) The connections were 1203! I had no clue HW had that many people interested in it! So, altogether I thought that was pretty cool.... :D

God bless,
Alina

Still, it needs to be fixed. I PMed Dieki. Hopefully he can help?

I think you'll find that this thread will explain why this happens, Lady A. It hasn't been fixed yet. :)

I believe I have fixed it, actually. Not sure yet, though.

Oh, and the 1023 isn't the number of connected users. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I believe it's an error code. The cyborg error actually triggers when 15 people try to load a page in the same fiftieth of a second.

Oops. :P

Well, here's some real user statistics to bring it back up. ;)

Holyworlds has received:
  • 334 users
  • 121 active users (Who have posted in the past month.)
  • Over 1,500,000 pageviews by over 7,000 people.

In the past month, HW has had:
  • 1,600 visitors (Of whom 10% were new)
  • 200,000 pageviews

More users (36%) use Firefox than any other browser. Chrome is close behind at 33%, followed by Safari at 14%. Only 11% use IE. (Yay! :D )

Wow! 7,000? That's better than 1023, so forget about ruining our excitement :P
