I know many of you were very young on this day, September 11, 2001. But I still urge you to take a moment today and think about the terrible events that occurred on that day. Think of all those who died and all those who risked their lives on a day that literally changed not only the U.S. but the entire world. Pray for those who remember friends and family members lost, so that God may give them peace and comfort, and pray for the soldiers who still fight to protect our nation or nations. And pray that we will be spared such a tragic event from ever happening in our lifetime again. This is a day I will never forget, many will never forget, and hopefully a day we will never have to repeat. Thanks, 6string |

I agree with Shawn. I remember watching 9/11 happen on TV and tuned into it this morning to watch some personal stories. It was a truly tragic day. Sometimes I forget just how many families have lost someone precious and are still mourning. ~Calen |

Those who were old enough to remember that day, find it hard to forget. I hope I and America never will. |

I don't remember it because I was 1 at the time, but my parents told me what it was when I was 7 or 8. |

A very sad day. I remember waking up that morning and turning on the TV to watch cartoons, and instead seeing footage of the plains crashing into the Twin Towers. But I wasn't really old enough to understand what had happened. I do now. - Terra |

Our country is a strong tower, we have riches, power, intelligence... but what Osama Binladen, what any terrorist did not have and will not have... our strongest refuge, our source of power, our reason for life; our God. |

Amen. Life is fragile. But we trust in a firm foundation, our God, our Rock and fortress. All our prayers to those affected by 9/11 and, six months ago, by the devastating tsunami/earthquake/nuclear disaster in my beloved country of Japan. |

I was 6 almost 7. I remember my dad telling us about the brave men and women who died, though I'm not sure if it was that year or on an anniversery. |

I often wish I had been younger. I was all too aware of what was going on. I know exactly what I was doing, the feelings I felt, the frantic calls to New York to see if our friends were okay, the questions about which loved ones were going to end up in a war for our country.... I pray we never forget the bravery, faith, and freedom demonstrated that day. People like to bash our country a lot. Even Americans. And, let's face it; we are not the country we used to be. But 9/11 is a perfect example that America is still full of people who demonstrate and live out what our country has always stood for. |

I only remember the little I saw on TV, which wasn't a lot. So I can't relate to it like you guys do. However I did think about it a lot that day, and found myself subconsciously praying sometimes. It's something that will never be forgotten, I believe. |

I often wondered what it was like to look at the event as an "outsider" (in the sense that you don't live in the US). |
