Well hello everyone! This is Seabird, or Ery if you prefer.

How to start... Well, I love cats. And the ocean. I sometimes argue with myself if I like seabirds or sea turtles better! But that's just me, goofy. :P
Any way, I like to write (obviously), :book: read, and draw. Hopefully I can discover how to post art. I sketch realistic animals, but dragons are cool too! (even though my drawings of them aren't so good.) Oh, and I love collaborating with my friends.

An appetizer of my writing madame/sir? (I can't spell to save my life... T.T)

Every last strain, effort, and weary attempt to follow Keela like a sheep was rewarded with a view that made a rushing river of honey and milk seem like dracling’s play. A slight cat’s paw ruffled through the tongue-tied spectrum’s damp and dripping locks, dragging along the floor like a mop. Everything... The caressing wind, the far-off scent of whales, a peaceful calm, and a sudden urge to greet the yellow moon, round like a massive gentle eye, watching and guiding those who lived in night. "I.... am.... honored..." What else could she say? What more could express her gratitude to her escort for bringing her to such an elegant and tranquil spot?

btw, a spectrum is a dragon. A chinese lung to be exact.

That's actually a hard choice, since sea turtles have an obvious appeal, but there are a lot of different kinds of unique seabirds.

I like animals and realistic art a lot. And dragons, too. This is a fantasy forum, after all. ;)

Posting an appetizer of your writing was a good idea. :D You have a descriptive writing style.

That makes two of us right there! o.O I absolutely love furry kitties, and I absolutely love the ocean, hence my name. Have you ever read 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, or Carry on, Mr. Bowditch! ?

That again makes at least two of us. ;) Although I really am not the best artist in the world... :/

I'm sure there are plenty of people here to help you with uploading art. You may want to try looking in the Library for that information. We also have an area called the Arts Guild where people upload, ask for, and discuss art. There is an Art Gallery where you can upload your art, too!

If you need any help getting around, feel free to PM me or anyone else. We'd all love to help you find your way. Also, I have a thread in the Q & A sub-forum called Confused, overwhelmed, lost ones and relatively newbies that has some posts explaining/simplifying some confusing/overwhelming processes that we have. It also has posts encouraging you to get involved in the forum. if you would like a post about a certain topic that you think would be helpful to others, or you are confused about, just PM me or suggest it in the thread and I'd be more than happy to post it.

Three for three, girl! I absolutely love doing this, too! You might be interested in the writing/editing circle. We are just starting, so feel free to jump right in!

I do have a couple questions if you don't mind answering them. ;) Do you know any foreign languages? I am learning French right now. What are some of your favorite movies? I have a top ten list that definitely contains more than ten movies. What are a few of your favorite books?

Once again, welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay here. :D :salute:

Greetings and welcome to Holy Worlds, Seabird! {Sea? Birdie? Sea. B. ? *Note: will try to think of better nicknames at later date} Well, m'name's Dawn, Estar, Even, Star, or Evenstar, as you prefer! *curtseys*

Well, you sound like a fascinating and fabulous persona! I love cats too, btw  And my latest short story was about the ocean--seahorses, to be exact. So pretty close there to the seabird thing! And, yes, you'll find that most of us around here love to read and write. A lot. Plus, there are quite a few of us (myself included) who love any art form and do photography, graphic design, and other techno-drawing stuff as well :D . You'll fit right in!

And, yeah! I love your writing style! Descriptive, as Jon said, but not overwhelming. Very well characterized setting. Nice job! *Hands Ery a chocolate cake for being so good as to post her writing already!*

Welcome :D

For the record, sea turtles are definitely better (or they're at least nicer to me). I find that the seabirds along my coast are never after my friendship, but my lunch... and I am not a kind sharer of food *cough*

Anyway, speaking of food, I did like your writing appetizing. It agreed very much with my taste in words. My sto... erm, mind is now very much appeased ^.^ Your style is rather delightful and fun to read, and it bounces along pretty well.

Birds go meow? I didn't know that. :P
Welcome to Holy Worlds. We're glad to have you.
There aren't many seabirds around where I live, only seagulls, and they tend to eat unwatched picnics and disturb the nice people trying to eat. Turtles, on the other hand, are very neat creatures. I can't say I share your love of cats. Cats don't like me. Seriously, it's not my fault, they just dislike me, like I'm the kitty plague or something.
I liked the writing. Besides dragons, what is your story about?

I will go on your offer of collabing on this site. It looks fun! Btw, u ask a lot of questions!! Ummm... how to start... I've read 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. But Carry on, Mr. Bowditch? That's a new title...

I'll try to post my art. I'm learning Spanish. My favorite books are by Erin Hunter and Bryan Davis. Movies? Um... Gaurdians of Ga'hoole, Tron Legacy, and Digimon. (Well, it's not really a movie but I had to say that)

@~Evenstar~
Thanks! I enjoy writing! Although consistancy is one thing I lack...

@Aldara
Yes. Birds go meow. This isn't exactly my story alone. Its a collab with a friend of mine. It's really only about dragons... And these little aquatic lizards called Qen. :P

Carry on, Mr. Bowditch! is an excellent book! It's historical fiction. I also LOVE TRON: Legacy! I've seen it for a second time recently. Have you seen the original TRON?

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Seabird! I love your username, and I have to say, I am a cat lover, too! I have a male Maine Coon cat that is named Sammy. He is a lot of fun to have around.

I saw that you like to draw. I often draw things, and have fun with anything to do with art. I can't wait to see all of your animal and dragon drawings!

Anyways, I hope you love it here!

Yea I know Crysta in real life. She introduced me to HW. Why do u ask? Do you know her in real life too? (btw she is the one who is collabing with me. The writing entry at the beginning of the topic is from that. But of course Crysta pointed that out earlier.)

Question to ask everyone, who here loves Bryan Davis' books? My fav is The Eye of the Oracle.
