Ladies and Gentlemen. *Clears throat* Ladies and Gentlemen, let me present to you.....Donn Quixote! Donn gave me permission to start her an intro thread; here are a few things she told me about herself that I can share with you.

Donn Quixote wrote:
Don Quixote was a book written in the 15th century during the Renaissance by a Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes. His book was about a character named Don Quixote who was an insane spanish knight, hence my username (I just added an extra "n") This Don Quixote has a trusty servant named Sancho who kept him in line. So that's the story of my username.

I've been a serious writer 3 years and, in that time, have written 2.5 books. I heard about Holy Worlds from The Rebelution.

Please do welcome her!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to Holy Worlds! I'm vaguely familiar with that story, though I have yet to read it. I'm Shawn, by the way. :D

*five glitter penguins slide in on their bellies with a punch bowl* Do you like punch? The penguins make some of the best. ;)

Well, hello people! Thank Lady Elanor for getting me to come into my own thread.

@Shawn
Punch would be refreshing.

@Raven
It's usually a mix of Fantasy and Adventure. I don't think I could write them separately.

@Princess Arante
I brought a windmill with me!

And again, hello! Thank you for the welcomes.

*chuckles* I write that way too. Adventure follows my poor characters wherever they go, it seems. ;) What is your MC like?

*the penguins serve punch*

@Shawn
Depends on which MC you speak of.
My newest MCs...

One's name is Ace
Another is known as the Sapphire.
And the next is known as Jayson.

So what are they like?
Ace vowed to never kill, but to always succeed.
The Sapphire had a broken childhood and is a genius of a thief.
Jayson..well, he has a major role, but no backround quite yet!

Is that the kind of answer you were looking for?

Yes, that is what I was looking for. I love your summaries; they captures your character essences so well!

I have a Jayson too! Great minds think alike. :)

Oh! We've passed in chat, but it's good to be "officially" introduced. ;) Welcome to HW! Have a cupcake, make yourself at home, and holler if you have any questions.

Do you think you'll post some of your stories around here? :) 2.5 novels in 3 years is great! Do you have any plans to publish?

I don't know if I'll post any of my work on here. I will brainstorm though. And yes, I do plan to publish. Sooner rather than later.

Looks like I've added myself to your hit list!

@Lady Elizabeth
Thank you. I like the sound of it too.

@Everyone
For anyone wondering how to pronounce "Quixote," it is pronounced just so: Kee-HO-tee. (Direct pronunciation.) To make it easier, how about Key-Oat-EE? That works too. Thanks!

Well, okay, if you want to be literal with a cliched phrase that wasn't intended to be literal, then yeah. I don't bite. I don't bark, either. ;)

@Airianna

There's no particular reason I chose the name Donn Quixote, though I just added the extra "n" to give it a little color from its original form. (And probably to make it a more feminine looking name. Whether it worked or not, I do not know.) I think the main reason is because I was fascinated with the insane knight Don Quixote. He's an entertaining character and Cervantes must have done a very good job on him since the book "Don Quixote" still exists from Renaissance times. I mean, who thinks windmills are giants and inns are castles? Very intriguing in my mind.

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

Well I officially found this unthinkably too late. I already welcomed you, Miss Donn but that will not stop me from doing it again. *Throws brownies into the air* Welcome to holy worlds, Miss Donn!

Greetings & Welcome, Donn! Hey--I just thought of something: my nickname-name is Dawn, which sounds exactly like Donn, so we're really name twins! Isn't that awesome? :rofl: *hands Donn seven-layer chocolate ice cream cake with tons of frosting, plus swirls glitter around in the air*

So, anyhow, I hope you're enjoying this chaotic tumble of mind and madness familiarly termed Holy Worlds! You'll find it really has a thread for every interest, be it fencing or photography or cats {which, by the way, I happen to like more than dogs, since dogs are big and scary and they bark :shock: }

@Dawn
Could it be? Are you my long lost name-twin?
-Takes cake-
Yes, I am enjoying Holy Worlds. I was quite used to chaotic writing websites beforehand, but never a Christian one! It is very interesting.

God Bless!
