Hi, I'm Adira Cryial. I heard about this place a couple months ago on therebelution.com. I have no idea what took me so long to join; this place seems awesome so far. I enjoy writing several different genres, but fantasy is by far my favorite. I'm a bit of a procrastinator, so I've never actually finished a story. Although I'm hoping to change that. :)

I'm the second oldest out 5 soon to 6 homeschooled siblings. My older brother is special needs; he's a brain cancer survivor.
I enjoy biking, horseback riding, reading, writing (of course!), archery, and playing piano, among other things.

I have a slightly limited computer time, so I apologize if I'm not on much.

If there is anything more you would like to know about me feel free to ask. :D

In Christ,

Adira Cryial

You are in good company here. Many of us can relate to procrastinating...unfortunately.

Thank you. :P
I also write fiction and some historical fiction. But I prefer fantasy. My favorite authors are Ted Dekker, J.R.R Tolkien, and Chuck Black.

Howdy! Never mind the fact that it took you awhile to join - you're here now, and that's where you're goin' to stay! :D Have a cupcake, make yourself at home, and holler if you have any questions.

Procrastinator, eh? We know what to do with those...

I don't know how many stories, I've written, I lost my notebook that had most of them in it. So, yeah. Right now I'm mostly working on two stories that I hope will eventually be books. I hope that answers your question. :)

No they haven't. A couple of my aunts and several of my cousins are allergic to cats, so they're not sure that it would be a good idea. :? I almost have my mom convinced but my dad's still not sure.

I can relate to this! I am the second oldest out of 6! We are all homeschooled as well! My older brother is special needs, but it's because he has Aspergers, which is kind of like autism, only higher functioning. He basically has the mental age of 8. It can be a pain sometimes. :P

I also LOVE horses!

Hi! Welcome to HW! I'm new too! :)

Cool! It sounds like we have a lot in common. My brother has the mental age of about 8 or 9 as well. It really can be a pain at times. Other times though it makes me smile. He can be so funny.

I'm excited to get to know you. :D

Mine tries to be funny, but he fails at it. He can be a big help around the house, and he (plus mum and dad) finally got a doctor, so things have been going well! :)

Likewise!!

Yes, Thank you... I still don't quite get essence yet. But I'm working on getting my mind around it. :P So far what I understand of it is that essence is the way you percieve something/someone, and essence mapping is listing the ways you percieve it with metaphors. I know there's more but that seems to be the basic foundation of it. :)
I believe I will quite enjoy the forum, I also hope that my stay here will be long. :D

Adira, that is an absolutely amazing summary of essence. A lot of people (myself including) had a hard time grasping what essence was and how to use it, but you seem to have it down pat. :D

@Adira: That's the shortest and possible the most accurate definition of essence I've seen. I'd love to see any essence maps of yours if you've posted them :D

@ eru: Thank you, I have not posted any essence maps yet. The ones that I have made so far aren't very good, because I'm still trying to figure out how to map. The syntax has been kind of confusing for me. :P

@ Airianna: Thank you!

Then forget the syntax and make a freestyle map. Metaphors organized in whatever way makes sense to you. That's what I do. :D

Yeah, maybe that's what I'll do for now. Although I'll probably still try to figure out firstX, and I might look into X+ just to see what it's like. :D

I know, I don't think I'll understand much of it, but perahps I'll be able learn from the parts, if any, that I do understand. :D
