Thank you! This seems to be a good place for pilgrims to rest awhile.

Rest? We are supposed to rest around here? It seems I'm always running around... but then again, I rest in my bed.

Anyway about it, whether its rest or furious activity that you like, you'll find it here! So kick up your feet and rest a while, Pilgrim Lady

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, you who write and share this field of battle with me,
I can't respond to each right now--because I'm in my 'lazy boy'--however, I'll come back here to find and get to know you who have responded. I thank you and wish you well!

Airianna, I didn't do that consciously. However, it's funny that you ask this because I just found a nice copy of PILGRIM'S PROGRESS at a garage sale to reread.
Because we're all pilgrims, I think, this seemed a good choice. And because of the Medieval pilgrims.

Don't worry - a lot of us have multiple names/nicknames. Some of us go by our real names or pen names in addition to our HW nickname. So just call us whatever you want and we'll answer. :D

*Blows boatswain whistle announcing the arrival of Pilgrim Lady* *Salutes* :salute: Welcome aboard Holy Worlds, mate!

This is an excellent name, me thinks! The story I am currently writing (see below in my signature) kind of takes on the concept of us all being pilgrims (more on the side of we are all taking a journey or traveling, whether we realize it or not). I can't wait to get to know you more!

If you need any help getting around here, just ask! I'd love to be PMed if you need any help. Also, I have a thread in the Q&A forum called Confused, overwhelmed, and lost ones and relatively newbies. I have a couple threads up explaining some confusing/overwhelming processes we have on here, and I'd love for you to join them! I also have further posts in the thread with encouragements and suggestions on how to get involved with the forum.

If you want, you can take a look at my post in Peoples, races, and tribes. It talks about the different people in my world and how many of them are traveling. If you want to give suggestions, please do!

Once again, welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I hope it's restful (although, that is questionable. ;) ).

Welcome, Pilgrim Lady! *tries to think of nickname to make things even more confusing for the sleep-deprived folks around the forum* What about... Lady? Pilgrim?? I'm being very imaginative here, aren't I... :P

Oh, and my name's Dawn, or Even, or Estar, or Star, or Evenstar. Yes, I am one of those people who run around with way too many names!

Anyway, what about a slice of pie? I know whenever I lie down to recline in a position of rest {I love being redundant!}, apple pie is a definite must! *Hands Lady a steaming hot cinnamon-apple pie* Enjoy!

So, do you have any favorite inspiring fantasy writers? What attracts you to fantasy?

Dear friends! I hope to get to know you all!

To be honest, I haven't been back here because I didn't know anyone was still talking to me! Z-oops!

Thank you for the huge, filled and frosted cupcake, and the flaky crusted, spicy virtual pie.

Anyway, I just LOST the big reply I wrote you all. The jist of it was an answer to the question of what drew me to fantasy. I was brought up on fairytales, Narnia, Disney Sunday Night and Disney movies, etc. Fairytales captured my interest early. And so my stories have more than a touch of them. The feeling of joy, the sense of another wonderful world just beyond reach, fabulous places saturated with the feeling of this joy, have drawn me to fantasy. And the stories, the once upon a time and ever after quality. There's so much, and you know as well as I do about being in that special other place for a time. And it's being in you.

For a while I departed from fantasy fiction of all kinds, having been convinced by Christians, who were more mature in the Faith, that there was much more important work to do for God's Kingdom than write such useless things. But I thank the Lord Jesus that He brought me back to what I love. He did it for His reasons, some known, some unknown!

May the Lord bless each of you. Though I will have difficulty with names, etc, He remembers exactly who you are!
