Post subject:  Hello...
Just wanted to say hi now that this site has found a permanent home.

I am a Christian and an aspiring fantasy author. I am currently writing a new series based on the legends of Merlin and King Arthur. My blog, where I write about faith, family, writing, and King Arthur, can be found at:

I am married and the father of three children, age 18 to age 8. We live in the country just outside the St. Louis metro area.

I became a Christian at age 15 and have been seeking the Lord ever since.

I enjoy King Arthur legends myself, though I don't write my own. Robin Hood is my favorite to write with. :)

My daughter is writing a book based on the Robin Hood legends (although he doesn't come in properly until book 2). Her research has taken her to many different conclusions about Robin Hood than you traditionally see, though, so be forewarrned: hers is not the typical Robin Hood!

I'm glad you are interested in writing about King Arthur. Many of the legends point to him as a true Christian hero that we can raise up as a wake up call for our culture.

Your daughter's blog looks very interesting. I've done a lot of research about Robin Hood as well and have found out many of the same things. My Robin Hood story is not your typical Robin Hood either.

It's interesting what you said about King Arthur being a Christian Hero. Have you ever seen the movie "King Arthur" staring Clive Owen? If so, what did you think of who they thought Arthur really was?

Welcome! It's nice to meet an adult who appreciates the virtues of homeschooling! I'm only 17, but it's sad to see how many people don't believe that homeschooling is a better alternative to public school. Keep up the good work!
