Post subject:  A Wedding! A Wedding!
A dear young friend of my family's is getting married next Friday! She has been waiting for the right man for quite a while now, and we are so happy for her.
She invited us to her wedding---trouble is, she lives hundreds of miles away from us, in Tennessee. And gas prices are up.
No problem! We love Tennessee, and all our dear friends who live there. They are exited to host us. And as to money, we have been saving up to visit them for months, and we have enough! So the wedding provides the perfect occasion for our visit. *bounces*

We are leaving in the family twelve-passenger van at about 5:00 AM on Monday :shock: , then getting back sometime on Saturday. I likely will not have access to a computer during that time, so I shall be absent from here. But, it's all for a good cause, don't you agree? Bye! :wave:

She is sort of squirmy. Her name is Tessa. She's a border collie. :D I love border collies.

Aaaaand I'm back.
:D I had a good time, yes. The icy spring water was delicious, and those Tennessee hills are a wonderful workout---our "leisurely" hikes made my legs burn.
The wedding was so wonderful. The groom was so romantically nervous, the bride absolutely radiant. The decorations were simple, and tasteful, and the wedding cake was sooo good. And, yes, I managed to secure some cake for y'all. Here ya go!
I love white cake with thick, creamy icing.
We all felt the visit was much too short. We tried to cram lots of fun in there, but with all the wedding preparations going on, and the long drives, I felt like we did not get to say all we wanted to say, do all we wanted to do...but isn't that how it is with any long-distance friendship?
I was quite sad to leave, but after sleeping restlessly as we drove through the night, I am tired and very glad to be home. Sweet home. :)

P.S. My 16 hour drive prediction was off. The drive was only about 13 hours.
We ate breakfast at about 5:30 this morning, at McDonalds. :D
