I was looking through a book today and found a page filled with tongue twisters. I love trying to say tongue twisters, so I looked through them all and said them as best as I could. On that page I found three that I thought were fun to say, but they were still pretty hard. Below are those three tongue twisters. What do you think of them? Six sick sheep A skunk sat on a stump. The stump thunk the skunk stunk and the skunk thunk the stump stunk. Aluminum linoleum Also, I'd love to hear any tongue twisters you heard or even wrote. |

Haha, those are fun ones! How much wood would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood? Tie twine to a tree twig. The mumble mice made music under the moonlight. I have more...somewhere in my closet that we like to call the portal to Narnia because we are pretty sure there's an entire country in there "Woah, that's an awful big wardrobe" |

Can you say, "Red leather, yellow leather"? Say it several times. Then of course there's the infamous "She sells seashells". |

How can a clam cram in a clean cream can? Send toast to ten tense stout saints' ten tall tents. Denise sees the fleece, Denise sees the fleas. At least Denise could sneeze and feed and freeze the fleas. Seth at Sainsbury's sells thick socks. The seething sea ceaseth and thus the seething sea sufficeth us. The sixth sick sheikh's sixth sheep's sick. Betty Botter bought a bit of butter. The butter Betty Botter bought was a bit bitter And made her batter bitter. But a bit of better butter makes better batter. So Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter Making Betty Botter's bitter batter better Like them? |

Hehehe, fun fun fun! Here's a tongue twister: Said sword slipped seemingly slightly. My sister accidentally made up a tongue twister. It's: Patched left stirrup leather. Try saying that several times fast! Aaand, of course there's one that I came up with in reference to my poor poems: Silly little ditty. |

Haha... these are great! There are some words in Spanish that are extremely hard to pronounce with a southern accent. Rosetta Stone didn't seem to like my pronounciation on 'como' at all. Anyway... that was a little off-topic. |

I like long ones. Luke Luck likes lakes, Luke's duck likes lakes. Duck takes licks in lakes Luke Luck likes, Luke Luck takes licks in lakes duck likes. We have a dinosaur named Din. Din's thin. Din doesn't have much skin. And the bones fall out of his left front shin. So we have to call in pinner Blinn, who comes with his handy shinbone bin, and with a thin Blinn shinbone pin, Blinn pins Din's shinbones right back in. Upon an island hard to reach, the east beast sits upon his beach. Upon the west beach sits the west beast; east beast thinks that he's the best beast. Which beast is best? Well I thought at first that the east was best and the west was worst, then I looked again from the west to the east and I liked the beast on the east beach least. |

There's one that I kept stumbling over until one night I stayed up about two hours in bed mumbling it softly to myself. The killer? "Toy boat" three times fast. Have at it! And the red leather yellow leather has always pained me deeply |

Inesdar wrote: I never find tongue twisters hard for some reason *sighs*. *very solemn-faced* You talk to much, Brendan. See, you've got your tongue all limber; if you'd stop talking for about a month and THEN try a tongue twister, I think it would work out a lot better. Okay, my all-time favorite tongue-twister collection: http://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/dreeves ... -Socks.txt And... Okay, now that I'm done cheating by posting other peoples' tongue twisters, I have one of my own... my grandmother and I made this one up (believe it or not) while we were eating french fries. Male bears belching. This one seems to be very person-specific. She can't say it. AT ALL. I can say it perfectly. I also think it has a lot to do with whether you think you can do it. Let me know if it works for other people or if it's just my grandma. |
