My name is Natalie Corder. I'm 16 and homeschooled. Writing stories and poetry are two of my favorite pass-times. Actually, I'm a very moody person so I have to 'be in the mood' to write well :) Most of my writing isn't really fantasy but the only novel I've written is. God has called me to be a missionary so all of my writing is somehow connected to that. My novel is full of allegory and much of my other stories and poems. I love anything C.S. Lewis and Tolkien and try to imitate them a bit, but I'm most certainly an amateur :) Shakespeare is another or my favorites and I wish I had his wit! I've grown up reading all the time and I'd much rather read a gigantic novel than a small science book :) The name Lady Naarah comes from my novel, Dolorous. She is one of the two main characters and represents myself in that world.

I'm excited to get to know everyone on here! Thank you Jay, for creating this website!

Welcome Natalie!

You are very welcome. I love this stuff, and I hope that we will all be able to help each other glorify God more and more by the this site!

I have a hard time getting into the mood for writing, but good music generally helps me. Being cold helps too, because the writing keeps me warm! :)

It looks like we have a conclave of homeschoolers here. That is good, because we can all relate with each others' weirdness! :)

With joy and peace in Christ,
Jay Lauser aka Sir Emeth Mimetes

It doesn't get any better than C.S. Lewis & J.R.R. Tolkein! You sound a lot like me...go homeschoolers! See you around!

Thank you all for the welcomes! It's nice to find others with so much in common. I've noticed there are a lot of Rebelutionaries on here and I forgot to mention I'm one too :) I can't wait to get into the discussions on here!

Ya! Another Tolkien fan! :D Welcome Natalie! (btw Naarah is a great name.)
I write allegory as well and Tolkien is my FAVORITE author, (even though he didn't like allegory. :? )

In Christ,
SG

Nessa- She's given up the veil, the vows she'd sworn, abandoned every effort to conform. Without a word to anyone she's gone her way alone, a dove escaping back into the storm.

Nolan- And though I don't understand why this happened, I know that I will when I look back someday, and see how you've brought beauty from ashes, and made me as gold purified through the flames.

Azriel- And who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts, and tearing love apart? You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul, so don't come back to me. Don't come back at all...

C.S. Lewis wrote allegory, and loved J.R.R. Tolkien's works as well. :)
