I'm a diehard Tolkien and Lewis fan

Well, first off, I might as well say that I haven't written a word of fantasy in at least a year, so the shunning can begin right now if that's a big deal. :rofl:

Last but not least, I don't think I'm ever going to lose a certain amount (okay, a pretty large quantity) of zaniness even though I'm supposed to be a dignified, clever person by this time.

What does your username mean? It has a nice ring to it.

As you may have noticed, this is a zany place.

I am very muchly working on books. In fact, I have a bad habit of working on too many books at once. :dieshappy:

He, he. I have absolutely no idea what it means, to tell the embarrassing truth. I wish it had some brilliant meaning like "bearer of light" or "wise and great one". However, it's a name I made up for a protagonist in one of the later books in my planned/partially written fantasy series.

I have an obsession with soundtracks - the epic kind, if you know what I mean - classical, some contemp Christian - depends on the singer/band -. Irish music is another of my huge favorites.

I've seen that there's lots of good advice here for writers from any genre, so there's another good reason to join.

I have an obsession with pirates and history.

I love reading, something I do way too much of. :book:

Oh, boy. Hmm. My favorite soundtrack tends to vary. Some months I'm really into one style and sound. Some months I'm into another. However, some of my favorites include: all 4 Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks, all 3 Lord of the Rings Soundtracks, The Last Samurai, Sherlock Holmes, How to Train Your Dragon, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk, and Robin Hood. Basically, if a soundtrack is by Hans Zimmer, John Powell, or Erich Wolfgang Korngold, I like it. That's not to say I don't like other composers, but those are three of my particular favorites.

But seriously, I do love to write, and I'm mainly joining in hopes of getting re-inspired to dig up my old fantasy series and get back to work on it. Also, I've seen that there's lots of good advice here for writers from any genre, so there's another good reason to join. Plus, one of my friends has been wanting me to join for a while, but that has had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with my final decision. So, now for some random facts. I mainly write action, adventure. At least, over the last few years, that's been my main thing. I have an obsession with pirates and history. I love reading, something I do way too much of. Last but not least, I don't think I'm ever going to lose a certain amount (okay, a pretty large quantity) of zaniness even though I'm supposed to be a dignified, clever person by this time. Ummm.
