Well, I'm off to the Lakes for a week from tomorrow; it should be great fun! I will miss you all but it will be nice to spend extra time with my family. Maybe I will get to do some boating, and not too much walking up mountains. |

Well, I am back. I know, not as I had thought it would be, but sadly our holiday didn't work out. Long story but basically the house we went to was full of mold and it was really bad sleeping there, the house was so musty; so we decided health came first and left. |

Yea, I listen to a good tape about Daniel by a guy called Yacov Prasch. I'm not always great at finding interesting things like unusual, I am not sure why. Someone recently suggested to me that if I don't find deep things I'm not a Christian which was upsetting, but I guess I do see deep things just not unusual, ya know. Haha I'll get excited and tell my Dad something and he always already knows it. |

Someone recently suggested to me that if I don't find deep things I'm not a Christian which was upsetting, but I guess I do see deep things just not unusual, ya know. Different people are gifted with different things! You just must do all you can with what is given to you. Just because you don't have a certain gift does not mean that you aren't a christian. That is a lie. That is nowhere in the bible and plus... that's a very rude thing to say! And a lie! Now I am getting angry at that person for making my Elanor sad! Lady Elanor wrote: Haha I'll get excited and tell my Dad something and he always already knows it. Hehe *has had this happen to me* It's cool to find stuff out isn't it! Even though it might already be known. I was reading revelation (I love revelation), and I was reading about the four animals in heaven, the ox, the eagle, the lion and the... er... what was the other one? Anyway... Later that week I was in my youth group's leadership group, and we were talking about Leviticus and why God goes into all of the particulars on everything. And the teacher was talking about how God made all of the tribes be around the tabernacle in a certain way, now all of the tribes were in a certain way, around the tabernacle. Which looked like a cross in their formation (cool huh?). And further still; each tribe represented an animal... an ox a lion an eagle and... something else? (sound familiar?) Now at this time we haven't even as much as mentioned revelation. But I had read revelation earlier in the week blurted out; "LIKE IN REVELATION!" That feeling of knowing something in the bible is great, the familiarity really helps you in life. Proverbs especially can be used in almost every situation. Reading through the bible every year has really changed my life and brought be closer to God. It is nice that God seemed to make everything in their for our good! Last year I read Daniel, (skimmed over it more like)... but now I read it looking for nuggets of wisdom and divine promises and truths, challenges and prophecies. It is amazing how much God did in one year, just think what he can do in a lifetime. Apart from personal life reading the bible really helped with evangelism. Being in bible drill for only one year did a bunch for me! Knowing all the verses down in my heart, being able to pull them out at any time I want. God is amazing. |

*Sighs happily* Very encouraging, Sven. Thank you. I let it get to me for a while but then I read that verse in Psalm 31 that says Quote: Psa 31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. And I thought.....You know I might think Oh No! God doesn't even want to hear me praying or whatever drastic thoughts I get at times and then I read that and wow, it hit me. He does hear me pray! It was great. Revelations is amazing. I love that book of the Bible and yea, it is amazing when you see things especially cross references etc and it makes you think and feel I really don't like witnessing, partly because I really fear someone asking me a question I can't answer. I prefer to draw along side a person and after I get to know them tell them things, you know. Thank you, Sven, for your encouragement. |

I am of late getting over this fear, speaking on front of large groups and preforming on stage... 'tisn't the easiest thing to do! But still... what must be done must be done! I have gone in creationism/evolution debates online before... but only to discover that people are cold hearted and hard headed. The intellectuals of today will not listen to any reason. They only blindly follow their belief, evidence and obviousness have no place in their minds. Only the holy spirit can work in them. The only way to use evangelize is if the person is open to it. I have learned the hard way! Lady Elanor wrote: Thank you, Sven, for your encouragement. Well you are quite welcome Miss E! |

Yep, they are willingly ignorant, Peter says. I sing in public, I am quite shy as well; funny, it doesn't come across that way online. I have performed in front of 200 people before, but I don't really like doing it. My Nana used to be a catholic and she was the most hard hearted person and she hated reading the Bible and wouldn't let us read it in front of her, but my sister and I used to talk to her a lot about the bible and she became a Christian before she died; then she couldn't wait to read it and would ask us to read it outloud; it was great seeing the change in her life after she was born again. |

Lady Elanor wrote: I sing in public, I am quite shy as well; funny, it doesn't come across that way online. I have performed in front of 200 people before, but I don't really like doing it. Oh cool! That is neat to perform isn't it! I love when I get to play the piano and drums on sunday mornings! It's a great way to worship God! And improve as a musician. Also it is a chance to get in front of people, the more used to being around people, the more comfortable you are. And really; who wants be talk to uncomfortable people? It would really help approaching when evangelizing. Going out there and evangelizing is really hard, and quite frankly I need to work on doing that! God put a couple of people my age on my heart. Sadly us of the younger ages can't quite be as helpful whilst evangelizing to adults. I know what Paul said to timothy... *do not let others look down on you because you are young" and "do not say to me; I am only a child. For you must go wherever I send you to and say whatever I command you" (that was one of my bible drill verses! See how it comes in handy?) But we are better off going to our own kind, which we have likewise experiences with. It is almost like if babies told you how to live your life, would you really want to listen to that? No. Because you are more experienced then them! Also... we might could relate more to others our age, having gone through similar problems. Lady Elanor wrote: My Nana used to be a catholic and she was the most hard hearted person and she hated reading the Bible and wouldn't let us read it in front of her, but my sister and I used to talk to her a lot about the bible and she became a Christian before she died; then she couldn't wait to read it and would ask us to read it outloud; it was great seeing the change in her life after she was born again. Yes, however since I started dog grooming I really haven't done much singing other than on my own in a studio or something like that. I have recorded myself singing a song my Mother wrote and my sister composed the music, however we want to be sure it is copyright before we share it with anyone and it's taking a while to sort out. Hopefully I am going to start writing Christian songs and my sister will compose the music for them; maybe we can make a CD. I think if you have a talent it is good to use it for God and I'd like to be encouraging other Christians with something. My Dad and brother used to go out evangelizing a lot, they don't do it as much now but I think that's because my Dad is so busy! I think just living your life before people can be a witness in itself. |

Quote: Hopefully I am going to start writing Christian songs and my sister will compose the music for them; maybe we can make a CD. I think if you have a talent it is good to use it for God and I'd like to be encouraging other Christians with something. Well that is great! It is good to see someone using all the talents that God has given them. And it is also cool to see families doing it together! I bless your songs in the name of Jesus. Let them grow, and be a testimony of God's love to others! Quote: My Dad and brother used to go out evangelizing a lot, they don't do it as much now but I think that's because my Dad is so busy! I think just living your life before people can be a witness in itself. Living by example is a great way to evangelize itself. A friend of mine, in high school; had many people come up to him, asking what was different. Because frankly; he seemed... happy! It is not hard to get noticed when you stand out in our world, but it is hard to get there. I really don't ever go to malls or wherever to go talk to people a lot... which is probably something I should be doing... But another way other than leading by example, evangelizing publicly with strangers, another way is to help any lost people you befriend. Last year, everyone I knew were from church. I was homeschooled and didn't really do anything else. Nowadays I am into dance, I meet some people there who aren't Christians... (some aren't very nice at all So we are trying to minister to this one family there, we got them going to church once or twice... but there is still some work to be done! *slaps self* *mumbles*; stop rambling Svensteel... Basically... you can evangelize to your friends too! And help other people grow who are already in the church. Quote: I just wanted to put in a note that I think this interchange has been lovely, guys.
