Hi Everybody,

I am 17 and completely new to this forum! :D I found this wonderful-seeming place while browsing through some posts on the Rebelution Forum. I have always loved fantasy and I have made up my own stories since I was 4, 5, or 6 I think. :) I used to tell them to my 5 younger siblings before bedtime.

I would love to know how to bring more of God into my writing and how to bring glory to Him through all of my stories. So far from what I've seen, this looks like the perfect place to learn! :D

Some of my hobbies and interests are: horses & horseback riding, skating, painting, drawing, piano, singing, poetry, daydreaming, learning new things, writing (obviously :roll: ), reading, being lazy with my awesome cat, and hanging out with my equally awesome friends. :)

Welcome! Have a cupcake! We are honored that you have joined our fair ranks. You are absolutely right - you've come to the perfect place if learning how to glorify God in your writing is what you're after! :D

Methinks you'll also find plenty of people that share your other non-writing interests. We would love to see some of your art down in the Arts Guild. :D

Hello in return, Kalisia!! {what a gorgeous name, might I add. Any reason for it?} *throws and dumps tons of dark blue glitter around, in addition to some glittery snowflakes. All edible, of course*

Annnnnd, it sounds like we have a lot in common! I also love horseback riding {dressage, though I haven't done it since '08}, painting, drawing, piano, singing, poetry, daydreaming, learning new things, writing {yep, it's purty obvious}, reading, being lazy with my awesome cat {nope, sadly I don't have an awesome cat, unless my somewhat shabby stuffed Kitty counts}, and hanging out with my equally awesome friends {with ya all the way!}. So I can't wait to see more of you around, Kali! {*first official nickname: YES!* :rofl: you'll have to pardon my excitement}

Anyway, I just baked some pie. Have a slice! Take three, or thrice!! *hands thrice slices of pie* Apple, steaming hot, in case you were curious ;)

By the bye, you can call me Dawn or Estar if you prefer :D . Anyway, I always liked getting adjusted to a character name by using it in virtual life. Like washing a new pair of jeans ;) .

It sounds like we have a lot in common... I love horses (though, sadly, I have never been able to ride a lot), drawing, piano, singing, daydreaming, and pretty much everything else you listed!

Writing and piano are my two favorite things, though. :D Are you playing anything right now?

Well, see, it used to be tradition to light off fireworks for new members, but then Airianna came along and introduced glitter, and people stopped using fireworks. But we still have a good-sized stock pile of 'em, so I took some, stuffed some glitter in them, and ta-da! We have glitter spreading fireworks. :D

(or maybe you could just chock it up to the fact that this is a fantasy forum and anything is possible. XD )

I like to draw whatever comes to mind at the time. :) I'm not any good at drawing from real life, like, say, if I were to decide to draw the lamp on my desk, it would come out looking like a strange stick with a blob on top. I'm not very good at drawing, but I have fun and sometimes something comes out looking almost like I wanted it to! ;)

You can play by ear? *is jealous* :D I can only play if I have the music, but my teacher has always sure I have plenty to work on... I usually have at least 10 pieces. Anyway, I've always been amazed by people who can play by ear; it's definitely a blessing! :D

Lol I'm not sure... Maybe I'll get a poem up soon, but probably not a painting or drawing for a while. I seem to be suffering from the dreaded Artist's Block. Ever heard of it? Everyone goes on about writer's block but it's the other that bothers me more... Oh well. *sigh* Maybe I'll find the cure somewhere on here! :D

Don't worry - it's for the block, not for you. :rofl:

In all seriousness, browse around and post! There are two things on Holy Worlds that are proven cures for blocks. Post your work and get people to squeal delightedly over it (and/or offer helpful suggestions. Usually they do both at the same time), or look at other people's work and find yourself suddenly inspired. :D

HW chat has also proven to be a good way to work yourself out of writer's block. Not sure about artist's block, 'cause I'm not an artist. ;)
