Sorry. In the words of Sui, I just had to ask this question before I killed every cat in the county with my curiosity. What is the go with the names? I am specifically asking -

Reiyen the Indefatigable
Elanhil the Unfathomable
Griffin the Indomitable
Amanda the Incorrigable
Sui the Chopped-Into-Bits

Did I miss some momentous event in which these names came about, or is this a private joke? Either way, please do enlighten me!

I'm curious too... All I know is that is started with Emethith changing Manda's name...then something happened while I was away. *shrugs*

*sits down with popcorn and waits for answers*

It's a bit of an ongoing joke. I think it started a week or so ago, when Reiyen started changing his username to random things, including Bush (space) Maid.

 Reiyen changed his name to mine? I don't know whether to be highly flattered or to simply roll my eyes.

 No! Varon! You can't change your name! It's too... you! That'd be like... Jonathan changing his name!

Sui was Suiathon (I think his name has more letters in it)

How about Varon the Two-Word Post King? Actually, that might not fit. Varon the Abridged? :D
Varon inanof itself is short, sweet, and to the point, like your posts. I think you should leave it.

 *mumbles something about dead fur balls*

In my case the name change came from neither a momentous event or a private joke. I noticed the above people had weird names and (with a little help from Tsahraf) got an idea for a silly version of their slightly intimidating names. ;)

Don't worry the name change is temporary. :D

Whenever someone hears how I pronounce my name they have an easier time spelling it. :D

Ahh, ok. Well I'm glad yours is only temporary. :D Because I like your full username. :D

I did mine because it adds to the medieval/fantasy feel, IMO... who ever heard of a knight named Reiyen? Reiyen the Indefatigable, on the other hand...

Author:  Reiyen [ June 6th, 2011, 10:32 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Ok, folks: What's with the names?

My name is "Reiyen the Indefatigable" because I dueled over my username with Sir Emeth and Dieki at the same time. Guess who lost...
More or less, I came up with a jerry rigged system that would prevent people from changing my username, or more properly, from their changes having any affect. I worked it so I could instantly return my username or color to "Reiyen" and leave them wondering what happened. Then Emeth pulled the trump card.
He changed my username and locked all the usernames (other people couldn't change their own, too). Eventually he limited the lockdown to just me... and thus it has remained. He switched my avatar as well. After people saw my awesome username, they followed suit. They by choice, me by defeat.

Beware, Emeth and Dieki, for I have not yet unleashed my greatest servant...

I have no clue what precisely started the name changing... Except maybe Emeth's messing with mine (which he also locked for a time, to "Incorrigibly Vexatious"). It's tons of fun, though. :D

It's basically macaroni noodles in a little bit of tomato sauce. Don't ask me why it's different from any other noodle in tomato sauce...
