Hello, I'm Aisha. I'm a princess of the King of Kings and I try to honor Him as father in all my writing. No, I'm not published yet, but I hope to be some day. Probably not a whole lot of books since fictitious works on my part have to be dragged into existence. I do like my writing, though. :dieshappy:

Hmm, well I guess I'll say more about myself as I think of it.

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Aisha! I too am a princess of the King of Kings. :D

What else do you like to do, besides writing?

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Aisha! I hope you enjoy your time on this insane-- er...forum. :D

I absolutely love your name! It's a lot like the name of one of my characters, except my character had another i in her name (Aiisha). How do you pronounce your username, exactly? I'm thinking it's eye-shuh, but I wanted to be sure. :)

*is still in love with Aisha's name *

Welcome again, Aisha! Hwers are known for their extravagant parties, so be prepared. We love glitter and cupcakes, so there is plenty of that to be had.

So, you say you are not published yet, but hope to be. Do you have a draft you are working on? What kind of story writing draws you? Who is your favorite literary character? (no, I promise this is not 20 questions ;) )

How did you find out about HW? What drew you to join the family?

A new friend! So glad to have you! Do take a cupcake... even if it looks mighty pathetic next to Aussie's sugary tower of confection over there. ;)

What kinds of fiction do you like to write? Do you like to write other kinds of writing (nonfiction, perhaps?) besides fiction? You can be sure that we are here to help you along the road of getting your draft finished and published, so ask away! Even if you just need a little motivation, we can help. :D

Pathetic? Did you say, pathetic? How dare you use that term in the same sentence as your cupcakes!

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Aisha! I agree with the others, you have a very pretty username. ^^

I hope you're finding your way around here well enough. There's plenty to see for sure!

I baked some cookies in real life. I apologize at the inability to actually offer you one...please, have a virtual cookie at my expense. *hands chocolate chip oatmeal cookie* (That's the first time I've brought food to an intro thread...) XD

Welcome, Aisha. :) I also really like your username; it reminds me of one of my favorite charrie names ever: Ayesha.

Anyways, I'm sure you've seen the craziness and...er, I mean the polite welcoming spirit of HWers. :D

Hi to you as well!

Here comes the swordsman...

A lithe man dressed in black studded with silver slides beneath the door; he gives a piercing wail, which shivers the architecture of the building, and as it increases in volume the building sways and groans. The man swiftly bows, laying two crossed swords before Aisha Hammermast.

Welcome, Sister in Christ, to Holy Worlds. May God bless your work here!

What sort of writing do you do?

Do you have a work in progress?

What a nice welcome! *Shakes glitter out of hair and smiles*

Evening L. Aspen, I pronounce my name A-shuh, "A" as in name, although the same spelling can also be pronounced eye-shuh, or eye-ee-shuh.

Vilisse, I would love to be prodded! It's easier to write if there are people anticipating and coaxing.

PrincessoftheKing, greetings, sister in Christ! In addition to writing, I love animals, being outdoors (which makes me wonder sometimes why I sit around indoors as much as I do), and keeping my hands busy with "stuff". I also do a good deal of home economics in addition to my studies, online work and ramblings, trying to develop and maintain a reading list (my official literature studies unfortunately did detriment to my pleasure-reading habits, and I am having to rebuild them :book: ), racking up information and skills that I will need in the future, and occasional pranks on my friends. Of course, I'm usually the henchman when it comes to those. I love people, even if I'm a little shy at times.

Airianna, yes I do have a draft that I'm working on. It's not fantasy, but entirely fiction. Most of my story ideas are real life settings, although one is a science fiction and another begins in real life and transfers into a fictitious world. The biggest problem I think I have in writing is that my stories develop very slowly over time and take shape sometimes laboriously as I sit with a pencil or at the keyboard. I get the basic frame and then, well, I have to think up all the details. But, I keep rolling. Oh, and I have no idea who my favorite literary character is! Haha! I've never thought to make one a favorite. I found out about Holy Worlds through some friends. I don't think anyone ever specifically said "join Holy Worlds", but I heard enough about it that I decided to give it a shot and meet this Airianna that everyone keeps talking about. ;)

Philidelphia, yes I do like to write other things besides fiction. I greatly enjoy writing informative articles and arguments. What kinds of fiction? Well, my current ideas are for modern day settings (I find it's best to write about the things I am familiar with), with, as mentioned above a science fiction idea and a fantasy story idea as well. Of course, with those I can just make a bunch of stuff up and I will be familiar enough with my own creation to write it. :D Great to have so many people offering help! I would love to be able to pick up some advice from other authors.

Reiyan, thanks, but I think it's pretty nice right now. It's fun being acknowledged.

Tsahraf, *curtsy* thank you for your elegant welcome! That was epic! I write fiction, one incomplete draft as of yet, as mentioned a couple times above, and I also write about facts and interpretation. Persuasive arguments are very enjoyable to me, and I hope someday to put it to effective use. I would also love to become more fluent in fictitious story telling.

Everyone, thank you for your warm welcome, and for the glitter, streamers, cake, cookies, and cupcakes! It also makes me happy to have a liked name. :D

This is a huge forum . . . good to know you all are here to help me wade in. :D

Haha, too many smilies. *Counts* It won't accept 10.

*privately hands Jonathan a cupcake for promoting the sci-fi forum* I am very active on the sci-fi forum, Aisha, so I love to see more people "converting" from fantasy to sci-fi! :D I was going to promote it, but good Jonathan here got to it first. ;)

I write about an equal amount of fantasy and sci-fi myself. I write a lot of modern-day because I'm a screenwriter (have you ever tried screenwriting?) and modern-day is often practical for filmming at my budget level. Please, please, tell us more about your stories! Start a thread on them, share an excerpt... anything! :D We'll start bugging you as soon as you get a thread up. ;) Trust me... start a thread and they will come...

For the record, the smilie limit is 7 per post. :D

Animal lover! What kinds of animals do you like? I'm a cat person, but I also love pictures of adorable doggies. I don't know if I could keep up with a dog, though, IRL.

Wow, we sound a lot alike. :D

What animals are your favorite? I have to agree with Philli about cats... though I like dogs too. My family actually rescued some kittens the other day; they were so cute! We couldn't keep them, though... my dad is not a cat person. :P

My pleasure reading seems to have sunk in the priority list too, lately. Those school books like to take over sometimes, don't they? ;)

And I'm the same way with people. I'm rather shy around people I don't know... but when I'm with my friends, I can go crazy. :D

Welcome Aisha! Good to have you join us!

*white rose petals float in the air*

I know what you mean about stories having to be dragged out. I have to plan my stories to death, otherwise they don't come out properly, or at a decent length. No seat-of-the-pants writing for me! :)

 I wondered if that might have a reaction.

I forgot to mention that I also LOVE music and singing!

My favorite animals? It's kind of hard to claim a favorite sometimes because I love so many kinds of animals in their own way - they are so unique. As you can probably guess from the avatar I chose, horses are one of the top. Goats are also at the very tip top of the list. I love eagles and hawks, dogs and cats, lions and lambs . . . and the list goes on. :D

Hello and welcome, Aisha, to the utterly fabulous holy worlds forum! Thanks for the intro :D !

Like everyone else, I happen to love your name, and for some reason your avatar seems to go exceptionally well with it ;) .

Well, from looking around this thread, I think the glitter-throwers have been awfully skimpy so far, so... *throws wads of various shades of blue glitter around until the air is sparkling and everyone is sneezing and everyone looks magically sparkling and of course all the baked delights are coated with a fine and delicate layer of sparkling glitter*

*munches on a blue-frostinged cupcake, and dishes out specialty just-make apple pie*

Welcome to HW Aisha! Sorry this is a late welcome, I've been away.

I love animals too! Especially dogs which is why I'm a dog groomer. I also have a little puppy who I adore named Pippin.

Anyhow, nice to have you here!

Another goat lover! :D Do you have a favorite breed? Have you ever owned a goat?

Oh, you mentioned a while back that you like the outdoors. I thought you might be interested in this thread. We're talking about our favorite outdoor activities and adventures over there. ;)

Evenstar and Lady Elanor, thank you!

Airianna, what kind of goats did you have? How many?

Jonathan, which Pippin? The dog or the hobbit?

Evening L. Aspen, *laughs* you have no idea! We have probably had upwards of three hundred goats over the course of 10+ years! Boers are my favorite, then nubians, although I really just love goats in general. I do prefer the full sized ones, though. What about you?

Heh, heh . . . I've been so busy the last few days I haven't even gotten to even log in during that time. Now . . . *clicks submit to browse HolyWorlds*

You should really read those books, Aussie. ;)

Umm... complicated question, Aisha. We had Kikkos, Nubians, and Saanens.

At the height of production we had 80 Kikkos, and 14 dairy goats.

Wowee, you have had a lot of goats! :D I haven't owned any goats...yet. We are hoping to get a small herd when we move. Right now we live in the suburbs and I don't think our neighbors would appreciate us having goats. The only breed I have spent much time with is pygmies, but I think I should like to get nigerian dwarves eventually. (That might change, though, since I'm still researching dairy breeds.)

You had Saanens, Kaitianna? Why didn't you ever say so? Elisanna has been wondering about them. I'll have to interrogate you about them sometime. ;)

I had one, Wren, that's why you haven't heard much about them. ;)

Well of course they do, Andrew dear. Just like cows and any other type of animal.
