Hello everyone!

I'm Knight of Elyon, aka Daniel.
I live in the US of A, and am a pastor's son. On April 2, 2008 I became a Christian, and that was the greatest day of my life!
I've always been interested in writing, but before last year, I didn't have a focus on God (for obvious reasons).
Now I try to bring Christ into all my stories, and I hope I'm doing well at it.
I'm looking forward to being on this forum, and getting to know other writers!

Coinnigh beo an solas a bhíonn i do chroí

God Bless!
~Daniel

So let's see... this is your introduction thread and here I am talking about randomness. How inconsiderate of me!

What king of things does Sir Elyon like to do?

Sir Elyon likes to do many things. :)

Foremost is Christ. After, and always after, is writing and reading, the two of which swap places from time to time.
I like to play games (both electronic and non), and I also am into web design.

*Falls into British accent*

Oh joy! I am excited to hear of them all! Especially that of Christ being foremost. It is always such a pleasure to hear of other youth who have the same goal. May I ask, how old you are?

*Drawls on in accent some more*

Oh I just love British accents! Thankfully my best friend's nana is from England so I learned quite a bit from her. The rest was from films. I say! It is easy to fall into a sort of old-fashioned air on here, is it not? :D

Okay, so I'm a wee bit older... though not by much!

They are fun! I'm fairly good at Jack Sparrow...... and a few regular accents.
That's cool!

Just a wee bit, eh? How much older is a wee bit?

Oh Jack Sparrow is hilarious! Voices are so much fun to imitate... I'm not very good at it, but I try :) Speaking in a British accent is entertaining though, especially considering because I'm from New England (Maine) and the accents here sound nothing like those from across the pond!

Mmm... I just turned 17 this month. So, I'm probably a couple months older than you. My birthday was the ninth.

Do you have a big family, Sir Elyon?

Yes, they are extremely fun to do! :)

I turn 17 on Nov. 30...

Not compared to a lot of families I know (like my best friends)!
I'm the youngest of four. :)

Nice to meet you too! (well, meeting sort of... :) )
I feel that God is going to use this new generation of christian writers to impact the reading world in a very major way!

I agree. It will be awesome to see how God can use a group of young, amateur fantasy writers to impact a whole generation.

Yes. Fantasy and SF are the most read genres, and personally I would like to see a flood of christian books in those classes. :)

Absolutely! God can use any genre, but fantasy & sci-fi open up a whole new audience that we can reach for Christ.

Yes, I agree!
And Christian fantasy is much better, in my opinion. Even many secular writers that I have read incorporate Christian ideals and views into their stories.

I think some secular writers incoporate Christian ideals because they're the only TRUE ideals, if that makes sense. In some ways, they add them unintentionally! I agree, I can't think of a better combination than Chrsitan fantasy.

I'd have to agree with both of your statements. I love Christian fantasy with a passion and I'm praying God will use me there in ways far beyond what I can imagine!

Christian fantasy is both my favorite thing to read, and write!
I, too, also hoped that He will use me far beyond what my own imagination can fathom!

I don't know about you, but because I'm a fantasy writer, my imagination is, well, limitless. Which means that whatever God does with me is going to have to be even bigger than that! Wow. That's hard to comprehend.

Yes, I know what you mean!
And just think, that in the Bible it says that the heavens are beyond even our slightest inkling! For a fantasy writer that says a lot! :)
