The Real Radio Renegade. That's him! Have any of you heard of this guy?
He is a guy who wanders the North West of my country every once in a while with a bounty on his head. It is usually about £4,000 but can go up to £6,000 and if you say to him 'Are You the Real Radio Renegade' in exactly those words you win the money! So ok, you get lots of lots of people in Ormskirk or Preston running through the streets yelling at men 'Are you the real radio renegade' as fast as possible. It is hilarious!
Anyhow, before you can ask him you have to find him! So the Real Radio station put out clues and the presenters do not know where he is. They get clues online and read them out and then everyone has to try and work out where he is. So today it said 'We are near a Strange Man from Knowsley.' I googled and found that Lord Strange was buried in Ormskirk, he also posts pictures and clues which Mum recognised so hey presto, that is where Mum went! It is great fun but I do not go, I hate having to ask random guys 'are you the real radio renegade.'
However, it is frantic, ridiculous, hilarious, fun and lots of people win it! Fancy winning 4-6k just from asking someone 'are you the real radio renegade!'
It is so random and funny I just thought I'd share this little tale with you.
