Just in case you did not know Jlayonu is Durininian for hello
Hi I'm Luke,
I'm not completely sure what my username should be yet so this is what I posted on short notice. So for the moment I'm Drath son of Grath. I come from a larger family consisting of 8 people. I love to write. I am homeschooled WHOOOO!!!!!!! And from the USA!!!!!! I have not written so much as of late because of many reasons but I'm back writing now. I love the piano and my brothers and sisters. My book that I am writing is called The Three Shields (or TTS depending on what mood I'm in). I'm not completely used to making everything on here and stuff :? but I hope I'll get it over time.

Hi Luke,
I already PMed you, but just thought I'd post here.  I'd like to hear more about your story, it has an intriguing title (or label, whatever you want to call it ;) ). By the way, write me if you need any help or have any questions!

Sort of, it's just basic and it will form most of the other languages in the book. But any word that I like and sounds elvish etc. I will use it. It's sort of an alphabet that shows different English sounds and how the elvish or durininian relates to that sound.

I lost the other one... :( . And to remind you that you have work to do... the deadline is in one week and two days. I need to see some writing!!!

The books or the music in which we thought the beauty was located will betray us if we trust to them; it was not in them, it only came through them, and what came through them was longing. These things—the beauty, the memory of our own past—are good images of what we really desire; but if they are mistaken for the thing itself they turn into dumb idols, breaking the hearts of their worshippers. For they are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a country we have never yet visited.

All the things that have deeply possessed your soul have been but hints of it—tantalising glimpses, promises never quite fulfilled, echoes that died away just as they caught your ear... We cannot tell each other about it. It is the secret signature of each soul, the incommunicable and unappeasable want . . . which we shall still desire on our deathbeds . . . ~C.S. Lewis

Haha, craziness is a good thing, especially in authors.

Well, I only know one person (Lady Laurel), but we've never actually met each other... or seen pictures *pokes Laura*...
I'm hoping to get my two other writer friends on here.

Welcome, Luke!

I don't think I've actually met any of the people on the forum, (besides Raven of course-she's my mom :D ) but I'm Facebook friends with Jay (Sir Emeth). So you're certainly not alone, Drath. ;)

Luke... have you even tried inviting those other friends??? I talked to one of them at church today... told her I would send her the link. Maybe she will join and be drawn to fantasy fiction by the awesomeness of this site! :D

And I don't write just realistic fiction, either!!! You should take some time and read my story... :)

Welcome, Luke! I hope you have a great time here at Holy Worlds and find it a valuable resource in your writing. :) So you have six children in your family? That's pretty good sized. I like big families. :) It seems like we have quite a few on here... I have six siblings myself.

Also, if you ever need anything Moderator related, feel free to ask me and I'll do my best to help. :)

Blessings,

And I see you also live in Florida, I wonder if I might know you in real life?

I have two adopted siblings who are 3 & 5 and two sisters who are 6 & 7
And a brother who is also on the forum who goes by Namor.

Hmm... That would be interesting! I live in South West Florida. What part to you live in?

Ah, that is cool that your family has adopted! :)

Not that time, but we usually do. Last time we went, I played with my little brother Matthew. (four years old) I let him win, of course, but he actually did pretty well even without help.
