What are those funny things that your parents do that are so out of character they make you laugh?

My Dad is a very unemotional guy. He is very calm and never loses his temper. So imagine my surprise when he came upstairs tripped over on the electrical fire, exclaimed loudly and promptly kicked it! I have never laughed so hard in my life before I don't think. You think you know your parents so well and then there they go and surprise you! :o

So share stories of how your parents surprise you in funny ways!

:dieshappy:

Haha...that sounds like something my dad would do, but I can imagine it being funny to anyone who has a calm and collective parent.

My mom does a lot of things that surprise me...she's a very serious and strict person so you would never expect someone like her to do random things, but she will. Sometimes she has these spurts of "my baby's growing up!" and she'll just hug me out of nowhere while I'm playing piano or on my iPad... It's rather...random. Hehe, but funny because I laugh about it later.

Haha, that is lovely Bethy!

My Mum is always mixing her words up, she asked for a minky drilk the other day. She is always making me laugh but she seldom surprises me as I know her too well haha.

Hehe, I love to mix words. :P Except I do it on purpose.

It doesn't really surprise me anymore but my father breaks into old 60's rock songs all the time. (He used to play in a band.)

:dieshappy: That is funny Joe! Actually my Mum surprised me by liking Gladiator! I expected her to definitely hate it and she has it top of the list on her favourite films! :o
