Welp... It was asked for, so I am giving it. For all you math haters, have fun. Just don't burn down the tapestries. Or the rugs. And for goodness sakes leave my pecan pies alone!

Airi has pecan pies?! *goes searching for Peacan Pies*

Anyways... *burns a piece of paper with Pi on it* :D I'm done. *skips out*

I Hate Pi and I Hate Math. So I will groan loudly and throw all my math books in a pile and burn them.

At 3:14 pm on Pi Day, I thought about what I should do to celebrate. But as I thought I realized... Math is not really my favorite thing. So... instead I sat for a whole minute thinking of Pie and how I really wish we had some :?

Hater is such a strooong word. :D

Okay, I will admit, math is my enemy. Something in my dyslexic brain cannot break down those numerical walls. Story problems are also bad. Just because I write stories does not mean I enjoy every kind of fictional or applicable story. ;)

Too many tears have been shed over the subject. *dramatically places hand over forehead* Literally, I still cry in my math lessons on occasion. :'( :D

I love my mom and the things she suffers through with me. :D

I wouldn't pick up a math book and do a lesson just for fun, but I don't hate it. (Except proofs. I didn't like doing those.) Algebra is my favorite kind of math; geometry can get kinda annoying. :D But without math, some things like designing patterns and doing taxes would be unbearable. So I am grateful for having been taught math in my formative years. :D

I got some weird looks when I told someone I wanted to burn all my books and run around outside like a lunatic when I finished school. :D

I'm SO glad our Mum had math books that couldn't be reused. They were so satisfying to burn.

Haha, my family has a lot of bonfires, but I don't believe we've ever burned books...while I have suggested buying a copy of Twilight to burn... ;) Yes, I do loathe said book. More than my math books.

Oo! Wait! One time we actually burned a toy from a kids meal I got! My sister and I thought it would be cool to see how it burned since we had never burned cotton before...it was intriuging.

We've gotten some bad toys before too, we just threw them away.

:D That would be fun...the down side is you would actually have to pay for a copy...

Yes... I read a MLIA post about someone walking into Barnes and Noble and seeing that someone had turned all of the twilight books around so that their front covers wouldn't show. :D

Back to math, the only thing I enjoy in it (mildly) is geometry. Even then, I'm not very good at it. Not the best at fractions, hopeless in epic proportions with algebra, and word problems :P

I haven't done anything destructive to a math book, but I have torn apart the notebook I did my math problems in once. It was a bad year. :P I only saved the two A's I received that year. I don't think I'll do it again, because I think it'd be nice to go back and look at all my failures and say to myself, "See, it's okay that I got it wrong. I've never used that application in my life anyways." :D

*serious note*

That's why my mother says it's ironic when people make a big show of buying a bunch of books for the sake of burning them. (A pastor in CA did it with the Koran recently, IIRC.) They supported the religion by paying for those books. The average publisher and bookstore doesn't care what you do with the book after you buy it...

I'm more for the Acts 19:19 kind of burning. :D

* not serious note *

My discipleship group had fun at a cookout by tossing empty Peep boxes on the fire. The sugar makes it flare. :)

Yeah, that's the thing, Philly. You're only furthering the cause if you buy it just to burn it. The shop owner doesn't know what you're going to do with it. (and doesn't particularly care as long as you pay for it!)
