Yes, my poor laptop refused to start this morning. Either some catastrophic failure occurred or viruses have infected it. I will be limited on visiting...

I told Melody that if people keep falling prey to sickness and computer crashes, I was going to be the only one left alive on HW.

I think you're right.

I have an HP - its speakers are great. It's undisputed (in my mind) that Macs are better but they are about twice as expensive, too.

My Daddy said you could tell where my priorities lay because I dragged him all around the computer store, listening to the speaker quality. My computer has circular speaker boost disks on it. Very functional.

I have no moolah for a Mac. :/ *pays for all her expenses in the family including car insurace* Plus, I'm slightly partial to Windows. Probably because that's what I'm familiar with.

My laptop is a 2007 Acer Extensa. I bought it for $300 since it was a display model. It's served me pretty well until now. On a side note, the speakers were pretty good untli I kept playing Pandora Radio and iTunes at full blast. Now they don't sound that great. :P I just plug in some Windows 98 speakers into it, and I'm all set. :D

They ordered a new battery for it so it'll be a couple more days (as of yesterday)... I'm hoping to be back online by Monday. ^^

Update: (take two:)

The battery came in today. As far as I know they haven't done much with it yet, and can't personally tell me the status of it. (I didn't speak to the guy who worked on it.) So I will be MIA a while longer. ^^;;

I miss you people!!! :(

Thanks guys! Well, I'm sorta back. ^^;; The computer guys didn't fix the original problem, so I took it back to them back to them tonight. They said they'd have it ready for me sooner than last time, for which I am grateful. :)

I'm back...again! *looks around warily*

They weren't able to find the problem because as Murphy's Law would have it, it only doesn't work for me. My dad told me to keep a computer journal, so if I have issues I can write them down and bring it in next time the poor thing acts up. :)

I have lots o' catching up to do methinks.
