Okay, so I was given a hard time by several of you for not letting anyone know I was not going to be MIA over the New Year’s weekend. I am sorry I did not check with you all first, to see if this was permissible ;)

In all seriousness though, you all know my family comes first, and when they need me to take a leave of absence from you all… you get dropped. :D Much as I adore all of you.

So, because of the berating I received over not informing you of my plans, I am going to forewarn you all that I might be taking a leave this week, depending on how things go tomorrow with Elianna's surgery. If all goes well, there are no complications, and she recovers beautifully, you shouldn't notice I'm gone. If she doesn't do well, I'll be nonexistent until further notice.

Family is definitely a priority, much as we'll miss you. :)

I'll be praying for both of you!

I'll be praying for your entire family, especially Elianna. Sweet little button; I hope she gets better soon.

I'll be praying.

And it's because we love you that we have license to tease you, even if, deep down, we do understand. ;)

Thanks everyone for your prayers. We really needed them today. Elianna is in recovery now. Her surgery took 3 hours instead of one. It turns out the straps loosened and could not be repaired. They had to be replaced. So Elianna had to have her old incisions reopened and more muscle and tissue messed with.

I'll let you know more later, when I can figure out if HW will be on the back burner for the week. She's a tough kiddo. We'll see how she does. She's very groggy and very distressed at the moment.

Thanks for letting us know. We'll keep Elianna in our prayers for a swift, complication-free recovery. ^^

Update: Elianna is doing very well today. She's up to 7 hours without meds. Swelling has gone down some, though not completely. Her bruising is starting to darken, so that's signs of healing. Now we just have to keep her from pulling her stitches out :P So by Monday, I expect to be back to my normal typative self. :)
