Prithee, I wouldst prevail upon thine patience and cry thy mercy if I hath offended, but I fain would -- *cough cough cough* ...Sorry about that. Hello, everybody! Just got referred to the site by another member (or so she claims), and the little private message I got suggested I should introduce myself. Hi. I'm Devin, a comics creator and fan of numerous stripes of fantasy. I primarily write historical fantasy (though, in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't gotten anything published yet - I'm working on that), but I love to read high fantasy, dark fantasy, swords & sorcery, urban fantasy, the whole gamut. My favorite authors are (perhaps predictably) C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Peter S. Beagle, Neil Gaiman, Fritz Leiber, Terry Pratchett, and a few others I've momentarily forgotten. Nice to make your acquaintances! |

Welcome Mysterycycle!  Why am I picturing Scooby Doo and the gang trading in the Mystery Machine van in for Harleys and leather? lol just kidding. I'm pretty new here myself and the members here are just awesome. I hope you'll come to enjoy Holy Worlds as much as I have.

That does remind me, though: for those who are curious, "mystery cycles" were one name for the passion plays and Bible story re-enactments that Europeans used to perform in the medieval era. Have you gotten a chance to look around HW? We have a lot of different rooms here. Even a place for excerpts. (which is invisible to those who are not signed in) Also, here is the art room: viewforum.php?f=68 Perhaps you'd like to post some of your favorite pieces.
