*points upward* Topic says it all. I gradually slipped away after I first joined in the summer, and now I realize that I really miss HW. (What I knew of it, anyway. O.o.) It's November, which means I'm in the middle of NaNo, which means re-assimilating myself might be a slow process until December, but here goes. ;)

Strange how we always believe in the ones with a lifetime of anguish in their souls and faces. Perhaps that is why we trusted Stepan--and why we broke him. It's as if the heavier the load they carry, the better they can bear a little more; and not until the burdens crush them do we realize what we have done."

"Only it is their choice," Ishmil said gently. "We may give them overmuch to carry but in the end they must decide what they are willing to lose for love. Burdens fade in the light of a question like that."

Welcome back! I look forward to "seeing" you on here. ;) (And I must say, I am already hooked on that story quoted in your signature. :D)

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

D'aww. Thanks, you. ^.^

(And now I have extra incentive to actually /write/ the story in my sig!)

MAH MERI! ^.^

*hugs* So glad you're here. For those of you who don't know, Meri was the one who is mostly responsible for getting me here on HW in the first place. :D

The story isn't written? Oh yes, please do. Oh please, please, please. I've never been so hooked by a single paragraph. It sounds like Dostoevsky to me.

*goes all blushy* Well. Comparison to Dostoevsky is about the highest compliment you could pay me. :) This is actually supposed to be the second book of my fantasy cycle, so it's a bit off in the future, but I'll get on it as fast as I can. ^.^

(And Eowyn/Redwing! It /is/ lovely to see you here.)
