Hello all! *waves* My name is Kacie, but I go by Shyeloh or Shye. I'm a junior in high school, and an aspiring writer. I actually enjoy all sorts of writing, from poetry to journalism to essays to fiction. I became interested in fantasy writing about three years ago, after reading The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson. I've thought up countless stories in my head, but I tend to be too lazy to actually write them... Dx I really love music, taking pictures, art/crafts, sunshine, autumn, and a bunch of other stuff, but I won't bore anyone with all of it. I don't really know what to say about myself (I can't stand writing about myself! it makes me nervous). So...greetings everyone! : ) |

Welcome to Holy Worlds! I think most people have trouble writing about themselves, which is why there are lots of biographies, but not as many autobiographies. It's also great to know I'm not the only high schooler. |

We're glad to have you!What kind of things do you like to take pictures of? I love fine art photography, though I'm not a photographer myself. Words will always be my best way to make pictures. |

Welcome, Shyeloh, to Holy Worlds! I'm new here too, only joined just yesterday.  Anyhoo, I'm RedWing.You read the Door Within Trilogy? ^.^ I read those, I enjoyed them. If memory serves, that is. It's been a while, and my memory's bad. A bad combination if I ever saw one. Anyway. Have you read Wayne Thomas Baston's Isle of Swords and Isle of Fire? Those I thought were good, especially the Isle of Swords. |

I think its pretty too And I like lots of kinds of photography I guess, but if I had to choose my favorite, it would be photos of people, or anything creative. @Redwing: I have read Isle of Swords and Isle of Fire, but I liked the first one better. I haven't read any of his more recent books though. >< |

Hmm. I thought Isle of Swords /was/ the first one? I could be wrong. Anyway, I like the first one better to. I haven't really read any of his other stuff, 'cept about halfway through 'Curse of the Spider King.' (Which I didn't like much. >.>) |

Shye! Everybody, Shye's a friend I recruited. We both really started on the forums for Wayne Batson's books (which she has already mentioned), and I know from experience that she's a good writer and is great at producing strong characters. I hope you'll make her feel welcome, so that she'll continue to grace us with her presence. |

@ Varon: Ahem! I'm in high school too! Welcome, welcome, welcome! I will warn you from experience, if you join this forum, you will end up writing, whether you started with ideas or not. Anyway, I am Shawn Henderson. I seem to have gotten a reputation for being a bit goofy on here. *glances around with mock suspicion, then spells "Welcome to Holy Worlds" in the sand on a beach with seashells* What music do you like to listen to? I tend to call myself "musically oriented," as I often have a song or two playing in my head. Anyways, welcome again! |
