Greetings! I am Hisart and I am a published Illustrator that loves to read and write. You can check out my artwork at my website Hisart.us and if you do, let me know what you think. You can post it here in this thread, PM or email me.

I discovered HW in the forums of NaNoWriMo and decided to check it out. I liked what I read and decided to stay for awhile. I love to tell stories and so I have always been interested in writing. When it comes to writing, I am a Pantster, which means I fly by the seat of my pants (no outlines)! So NaNo is always a surprise to even me!

Welcome to Holy Worlds! I'd love to be able to artistically render some of the scenes and characters in my books. I'm sure you have fun with that! And I think you'll enjoy it here. :)

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Hisart.

When I looked at your website, I saw your cover art for Fear and Trembling Magazine, where two of my stories were published, and I think one of the pictures was from an issue I was in. :)

HEY! It's awesome to meet you, Hisart! I'm Willow (duh). :D And that is so neat! I really wish I were more artistically inclined sometimes. Do you use your art to depict your stories, or just God's creation? (or both.:D)

Wow...your art is amazing. :) When I saw your username, I immediately thought of His Art, is that intentional? Anyways, I love your art and I hope you'll enjoy your time on HW.

Thanks Sapphira, Rachel, Abby, Sarah, Airianna, Jonathan, Shawn, Willow (duh), Calenmiriel, and Eruheran for the welcome!

Sarah: I actually write stories based on my unsolicited illustrations, so i work backwards! LOL

Airianna: Another artist? Do you fling pixels or paint too?

Jonathan: That's cool, what story was yours? Sadly the magazine and all the archives are ... deceased! There is no way to pull up anything that had been published there, but I may remember it. Would you say my art is addictive then?

Willow (duh): j/k ;) "Do you use your art to depict your stories?" {See Sarah's answer above.}
Do you use your art to depict (just) God's creation? (or both.:D) - A quick visit to my website will show that I have a bent towards the ugly things in fiction, so I don't think it could be called God's creation. Not that I can't or don't, I just prefer the uglier side of the fence.

Calenmiriel: I haven't delved into the threads that much as of yet, but I have enjoyed what I have read!

Thanks Eruheran!

When I first decided to start my art business I wanted to do something that was God driven, not me driven. I sat and thought about what phrase I could use that would spell out my concept to others in the fewest words.

As I sat there the phrase "His talent, His art, His way." came to mind. When I wrote it down I accidentally left out the space in the middle which made it ...

"His talent, Hisart, His way."

I registered the name as my business name and bought the domain Hisart.us shortly thereafter.

So to answer your question, Yup!

Interesting question...

I do lots of paint and pencils. That's my predominant art form (I also do interior decorating on the side). However, since joining this crazy band of people I have begun to dabble in pixel art too. I'm not sure how good I am, and I really don't know what I'm doing, but I love creative expression (thus I write), so it's fun to try computer graphics. I love your work though.

My two stories published in Fear and Trembling were "The Coming" and "The Black Spot". Fear and Trembling is back now, apparently with a different owner, but the archive is still gone.

Your art is addictive in that its complexity warrants multiple viewings. I think my favorites are 'Repairman!' and 'The Inn at World's End'.

Airianna, anything up where we can see?

I do remember "The Black Spot" but am vague on "The Coming"

I was thrilled when I heard it was back, but sadly nothing like it was.

Those two took some time, I like lots of detail and those two have more stories in them than the others. 'Repairman!' was for a story and I tried to add extra story-lines to the image. 'The Inn at World's End' was done for me as a poster and so has a LOT of stories in it. The magazine wanted a cover so I scaled it down and sent it in, they loved it and put it up.

Well, you can look over on my introduction thread to see some of my sketches. As for pixilated art, I designed my avatar and 6string's. I also created a bunch of avatars for HWSF (our sister Sci-Fi site), so I guess you could look in the art gallery over there. I don't think I have any of my paintings anywhere (that's what I'm more popularly known for)... I'll look into it if you'd like.

"The Coming" was published awhile before "The Black Spot", but maybe the words 'spider creature' will help you remember. :D

Very nice. :) Good poses/gestures and a nice job on the proportions of the heads as well. Keep it up!

@Hisart: That's cool. Funny how accidents sometimes start something.

@Jonathan Garner: Where can we get our hands on these stories?

I just started a blog so that people can read them now that they're no longer available in the Fear and Trembling archive. The link is on my introduction thread.
